Maladon Session Tuesday 6th of Sept from 6,00 pm UTC+1 to 10 pm UTC+1

There will be a session of Maladon at the above date and time. For the next week, to encourage exploration of Maladon, I will be running games restricted to Job 20: The Badgers have been tasked by the Emperor to survey and check on all ancient Imperial Holds and Fortresses built during the great war with a view to rebuilding them or destroying them to deny their use to bandits, monsters or the Forces of the Red Empire. The Badgers are hiring men from all Companies to aid them in this task. Speak to Malik in the Black Tower Inn. Job Dated 1st of Quickern 987. The campaign date for this mission will be 33rd Mittern 987 Sign-ups will start Saturday at 9 am and will run till Sunday 9 pm UTC+1

I will sign up. What about playing passes since the sign ups didn't start yet officially?  I'd like to play my silver pass during one of these sessions and Tuesday looks like the most appropriate. The pass is about Grigor Payne to complete the following mission as captain of the city watch of Haven :  " Your first task is to root out the Brotherhood of Light from Haven. Most fled but some are known to have gone to ground and are hiding in the City. In particular we seek Alexia of House Valentis who tried to leave the City but was prevented. Find her and take her alive, as she may know the location of the Brotherhood's secret hold. Enclosed is a writ to enter the Upper City; remember that some of these traitors had friends in high places. Just be careful and don't overstep your authority; you will need evidence to accuse Nobles of crimes."  It kind of fits the exploration theme of Maladon since if the mission is successful a new location will be learned of the Brotherhood' secret hold. If I can play my silver pass I would ask characthers to sign up who are neutral or lawful or good to sign up (so no chaotic, no evil). Also someone someone who can cast zone of truth would be nice since we need to generate evidence, I know Cain can cast it and his word will be believed.  If I can't play my pass, I will still sign up normally, when the sign up period opens up.

Since this is a silver pass mission please only sign up with the PC name that you intend to bring. Chars who apply may be zone of truthd at the start of the mission to root out any evildoers or ppl working for the Red Emperor or for that banned company, Scarlet Blades. The commander of the city watch, Grigor Payne is very interested in the success of the mission so he will look into every applicant with an eye to make sure they will not jeopardize a diplomatic approach and the calm collection of evidence that is required on this mission.

Since i was tier 5 for the monday session and the session i joined midway doesnt count towards my tier im pretty sure im Tier 6.

Grigor's opinion on people who signed up so far : Cain : Grigor respects and admires Cain. He also knows that Cain's word carries a lot of weight, so it would be a form of evidence if he makes a statement on something he observed during the mission. Cain also has zone of truth. Rath : Grigor trusts Rath as a former companion Dain the cleric: Grigor trusts Dain as a former companion, Dain has zone of truth in a similar way to Cain, which Grigor considers essential to the success of the mission. Thamior : Grigor will accept Thamior's participation since Thamior was on the last mission of Grigor Payne, but will have a little talk with him to make sure that he is on his best behavior  Le Haraldr : Unknown   Rodrey McRodrey : Unknown   Marokin : Unkown PC-s who are unknown to Grigor will be asked to answer the following zone of truth questions: Do you have evil tendencies, do you have chaotic tendencies, were you ever in contact with the forces of the red emperor, the scarlet blades or the brotherhood of light, do you plan to aid them in any way, do you plan to commit any crimes while on this mission in the upper city.  If their answers are satisfactory, with no major problems, Grigor will approve them without any issue. Will not take anyone who is evil or chaotic though.  People who have not declared a char so far are considered unknown and highly suspicious they will face extensive zone of truth questioning and will be rejected at the slightest wrong answer. It is considered that these people only applied at the last second, which raises a lot of suspicion. Maybe they wanted to avoid scrutiny... So a lot more questions will be asked from them probing every detail and signs of the smallest bad intention towards this mission or criminal tendencies. In addition Grigor will look in the city watch records for the suspicious people to see if they were ever arrested or suspects previously investigated by the city watch for connections to the thieves' guild or for other crimes.

Of course if the new char someone wants to bring adventured with Grigor previoulsy or Cain vouches for them they would be trusted without any investigation or questions, same as Rath for example. 

Rodrey McRodrey would not be entirely unknown to Grigor Payne, he is a volunteer in the Imperial Corps of Siege Engineers and owns a dockside tavern, the Broken Amethyst, in which the Emperor himself gave patronage and assembled the embassy to Khulican, of which I believe Sir Payne was a member.

Yes Grigor was shortly in the tavern, for about twenty minutes, but they never talked as far as I remember and never adventured together. But you are right he would know of Rodrey, he wouldn't be 'unknown' per say, better description would be not trusted. If Cain vouches for Rodrey, Grigor would certainly accept that.

Haraldr will step into the Zone of truth and willingly fail the wisdom check. Do you have evil tendencies? No not really... unless woo-ing the beautiful Ladies count as one Do you have chaotic tendencies? Not at all. The greatest Archer in Maladon can't have such tendencies or urges now can he? Were you ever in contact with the forces of the red emperor, the scarlet blades or the brotherhood of light? I have no idea who the Scarlet blades or the brotherhood of light are...in regards of the Red Emperor i have only heard rumors of him and his forces. Never been in any contact with them as far as i know. Do you plan to aid them in any way? No? You make them sound like bad peasants... its probably bad to aid such people. Do you plan to commit any crimes while on this mission in the upper city  The only crimes that will be commited up in the upper city will be of a marvelous Lady's gaze steals my attention -winks-

Marokin would just laugh at you. "You assume someone with those tendencies would merely reveal them to you? How peculiar of you... But perhaps this will strike with you: Yes, I have had to do with the forces of the red emperor, with the scarlet blades as well. They are all dead now though." And he smiles at you, then turns around for a second, making sure noone is standing behind him.
