I figured this was the best spot to put this :) I was reading something about an Abjurer build and decided to see what one looked like. I rolled it up as 6th level Wizard because it unlocks some of the good class features and gives a good sense of where this character is heading... And I 'cheated' by making him a deep gnome to take advantage of the +2 INT so I could max it out even with point buy :) This guy is still a bit squishy... AC 11 (without Mage Armor/Shield/Blade Ward) and only 28 HP, but once he casts an abjuration spell he can add 16 temp HP... still trailing martial classes but he can absorb a blow for someone else as a reaction. I threw a few offensive spells in to make sure he can actually deal some damage, but he's mainly focussed on battlefield control, so even non-abjuration spells are geared towards that... Poison Spray is 1d12, so 2d12 at this level - holy shit. Sure, there's a CON save for it, but that's brutal - especially considering it's a cantrip! I basically see this guy as hiding behind one of the frontline fighters, absorbing a blow for them here or there, and generally playing support where they can - jump out and blast with fire bolt/poison spray, jump back behind to lessen chance of getting hit, rinse, repeat. Might be a bit tough to pull off well, but I can see it working... I also found a fairly good online character sheet via google drive that is shareable, so that's a win. If you have a better one let me know. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BygCKBw5m-48d2JQd...
