GM is seeing all of my whispers to another player

When I whisper to the GM, he sees it, when I whisper to all of the other players, only they see it. When I whisper to one player, the GM gets all of the texts as if I am sending them to him. It does this with both my macro and just typing /w player. Neither we nor the GM can figure out why this is happening. I'm using Chrome, ver. 52.0.2743.116 as is the GM and we can't reproduce this with any of the other players. I'm on windows 10.

Are you whispering to the player , or are you whispering to the character? When you whisper to a character, every user listed in that character's "controlled by" field gets the message. If the GM and the player you're intending to send the message to are both listed as controlling that character but only the players are controlling the other PCs, that would explain the problem. Unless the GM is using the "Re-join as Player" button to remove his or her GM privileges, there is no need to include the GM on any "controlled by" field, as someone with GM privileges can control anything, even without explicit control permission. Your GM can simply remove themselves from that character's control setting if this is in fact the source of the issue.

Aaand that fixed it. Apparently, I was whispering his character, not the player. Thank you so much!!!
