[LFG] [D&D 4E] [D&D 5E] [-6 UTC] Beginner looking for noob D&D 4e or 5e group

Hello. I'm Amanda, a 35-year-old big kid and stay-at-home single mother of three young and crazy girls. I live in a tiny little town in Tennessee, USA and have no other family and no transportation. For this and any other number of reasons, I'm essentially home-bound and cut off from civilization at large. Suffice it to say, I'm going insane here! A few times throughout my life I've found myself in a position to play D&D, but I've never been able to complete an adventure, nor have I ever really learned the mechanics or gotten the gist of the game. There's always been someone to help me fill in my character sheets and, more often than not, I've just been thrown into the game and told what stats to write where. I want to have a better understanding of 4e and 5e and I want to be a part of an adventure and maybe even a campaign, if I can get the hang of things. I have acquired all three PHBs for 4e and have d/led and printed the free basic instructions for 5e from the WotC site. So, as far as materials go, I'm prepared. Being in Tennessee, I live in the Central Standard Time Zone, which is -6 from UTC. Two of my three girls are in school, so the ideal times for me to game are 8 am - 2 pm and I'm more than willing to participate in late night opportunities. As for my available days, Monday through Friday is best, again because of the kids being in school, but if I can find something late night, any day will work. Here's hoping I find the right fit for my full frontal nerdity! (Crosses fingers, eyes, toes, legs, and other assorted appendages)
Hi, I'm Raven, I'm also new, like never actually played a game before new, and hoping to find a group for a game in 5e. I think you sound cool, & it'd be fun to play a game together? I have a character already in the works, although I'm still trying to figure out the stat stuff. The possible day/time schedule you have actually works great for me but, I also work a bunch and currently feel like I could only manage a game every other week because I only have like one day off. I don't know if you'd be cool with that, but yeah, let me know? 👍
Hey there Amanda, I also actually find myself driving through a small town in Tennessee right now. Kind of funny that I'm reading this. I am one of the DMs for a campaign called The Guild living, it is a campaign that is welcoming to beginners and is open for people who want to play D&D 4th edition. If you want more information either look it up on the find group system here and roll 20, or you can send me a contact request on Skype at Gravymattingly.
