We’re a group of friends who already have a campaign running but are looking
for some new blood! One or two people needed at the minute, but maybe three if
you come in a group.
We play in a homebrew sandbox world, and custom classes are possible at the DM’s
discretion. Currently, we have a Human Cleric (as adorable and innocent as you
might expect), a Halfling Monk (tiny and punchy: the perfect combination!) and
a Goliath Blood Hunter (big and punchy: diversity is key), and our alignments
are all Chaotic Neutral and up; no evil characters allowed, sadly. We play by
standard rules, but sometimes we might bend one or two to keep the game fun and
flowing.
We put a pretty big
emphasis on roleplay , with maybe a 70:30 roleplay to combat ratio; it’s
very important to us to find people who can stay in character and work well
with other personalities. Accents/voices are preferred but not mandatory, so long
as there’s a clear difference between in- and out-of-character interaction.
We’re looking for new people because of attendance issues with some of our old
players, so we’d need people who could commit to the times arranged and make
all of the sessions: we’re entirely too obsessed with playing to want to miss
many sessions! We play Mondays at 8pm
EST every week. We use Discord for voice, and a decent mic is a must, as we
do all of our RPing and playing out loud. Sessions tend to run for at least 3 hours, but often get extended if people are free.
The
World of Echose:
The world has been relatively peaceful as of late; no great wars or battles
have been fought for many years, and things almost seemed calm for once. This
couldn’t be farther from the truth.
Eight gates have appeared across Echose, towering and ominous. Their contents
are unknown as they are sealed shut – the only clue that could be found was the
countdown; on each gate is inscribed a date, believed to signify when the gates
would open. The world authorities are in agreement that, whatever lies beyond,
it is not a good omen. Each gate gives off a sinister aura, and mankind fears
change more than anything else. One gate stood open,
residing in the city of Tarbean. Sending waves upon waves of soldiers and
adventurers through the mysterious opening has yielded no results: none
returned. Until now, that is. Three adventurers have come back through, bearing
news of a great threat lurking in the shadows, and holding a great weight on
their collective shoulders. Will they be able to solve the mystery in time? Or
will the gates open, and unleash their contents upon the world…?
You’ll be starting at level 5, and some events will already have occurred: we’ll
summarise everything, so you won’t have missed a thing, don’t worry.
