Greetings Travelers! My name is Thunder, and I am a GM. I am a GM who hosts, among others, a D&D5E game on... Thursdays, 5pm PDT Weekly. We typically only go for around 3 hours, and discuss topics and bs for at most an hour more. The party is currently on a boat, on course for a settlement down the river, after leaving the city of Bardsclover. The party currently consists of a Warlock, a Monk, and a Sorcerer, and we just lost a half-orcish barbarian. Warlock is mostly business, but tries, Monk is a Bird, clueless but endearing, and the Sorcerer is greatly powerful, but highly volatile, as well as roguish. The world is entirely homebrew, and I'm building it for my players. If you want to add something or do something to make your character interesting, then sure. The campaign has been going on for quite a while now. The party is currently Level 5, coming closely on 6. I am a very go-with-the-flow GM. I'm flexible, and I can work with what I've got. If you're interested in applying, please post a new message with the following information: Name: Experience: Style of Play: Three words that describe you: Any other information: Character idea Name: Class/Race/Background (Elemental Evil, Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, and Unearthed Arcana material are welcome) Basic Concept: (Just put all of the above information together) Reason you like the character: Reason you think the character would fit with the party:
Name: Matt W Experience: Started playing d+d 3.5 and played that for a couple years, then moved to 4e and played that for a couple years, and now play 5e since when it came out.  Style of Play: I Like to have a good balance of combat and role playing, but enjoy getting my hands dirty. As long as were having fun that's all that matters.   Three words that describe you: Funny, Reliable, Down to earth xD Any other information: The time works for me as I am in eastern time zone. I could even start this Thursday. Just curious on what communication you guys use. Thanks for considering me and I hope to hear from you soon.  Character idea Name: Dolman Ironhide Class/Race/Background: Cleric/ Dwarf/ Soldier  Basic Concept: Dolman is a dwarf cleric that dedicates his life to the dwarf god. He used his powers to be a medic and fight for his clan. He eventually retired from being a soldier and sought to become an adventurer. Reason you like the character: I like Dolman because cleric's are a lot of fun and dwarves are my favorite race. He is very protective of his friends and very stout and stern like any dwarf should be.  Reason you think the character would fit with the party: Dolman is a peacemaker and a medic which every group needs. He is a good moral compass and protective of the people around him. There is always a need for a dwarf in the party to bring common sense to anybody that will listen.

Was wondering if this spot was still open? I have an open availability until late January, and past then I may still be open depending on what hours the job requires. Jan is a long time away, so I hope you'll still consider me. Name: Jeff Experience: I DM my own game saturday nights, and play in a couple other campaigns. I've been gaming most of my life, and nearing 30...have many years of exp to pull from. Style of Play: I've learned to be flexible. Everything has it's time and place. I tend to lean towards a playstyle that moves story forward, regardless of the situation. Three words that describe you: Military, Punctual, Easy-going. Any other information: One thing i pride myself on is I'm the last person you'll ever have to worry about not showing up. I prioritize things in my life. If I say I'm commited to a D&D game, I'm there unless an emergency. And if that happens, You know plenty ahead of time.  Character idea Name: Ted Elnubnub Class/Race/Background: Human variant, Hermit.  Barbarian 3- Bear totem/druid 2- moon circle Basic Concept: Raging bears anyone? Raging octopus? Raging giant toads? You know you want them! Reason you like the character: Aside from the obvious RP element and hilariousness? Well, being able to shift multiple times as I level up, and being raged not taking any damage, it's the ultimate tank. The battle has to be crazy long, or me be extremely unlucky to actually take my own hp damage. Damage output is low, but I'm not trying to optimize. I'm trying to have fun with the character. Reason you think the character would fit with the party: Well, they need a meat shield. Monks are ok, but i'd imagine they need a little more. If you'd like to know more, lemme know!

Application Handout Name: Tim Experience: 8 Years RP; 4 Years D&D 4e, 5e, and Pathfinder Style of Play: Narrative; I come to D&D to tell a story or experience one - I am not one for min/maxing. Three words that describe you: Quirky, Creative, Enthusiastic Any other information: From what I have seen from your Ad, I think that you will enjoy my enthusiasm and creativity; I love that you are letting your players add to this world and I very much want to be a part of the story being told.  Character idea Name: Jaeger von Strauss + Scarlet Class/Race/Background: Revised Ranger + Ranger's Companion / Wood Elf + Raptor (Panther) / Fernloch Insurgent (Formerly Phlan Insurgent) + Clever Girl (Just a for-fun background name to give theme to her traits / bonds / ideals / flaws; no feature) Basic Concept: Wilderness Survivalist who witnesses his home overtaken by a strange outpouring of planar flora and alien fauna. He hunts the invasive fauna but one hunts him as he hunts it. Multiple skirmishes lead to repeated draws, and then a ceasefire when they are both captured by other planar invaders. They accept one another as equals and become a bonded pack through ancient Ranger rites. Pair then continue activities as Insurgents in the ever-expanding region. Reason you like the character: Well, I have to admit that he is a bit of a medley of a good number of different inspirations and themes, plus DINOSAURS. I originally had a much more detailed write up, but basic  implied short and succinct explanation so I went with the bare essentials. I love this character to pieces and there are few I'd rather play. Reason you think the character would fit with the party: He comes with a well-written and detailed backstory, with plot hooks, additional PC-Pet for interaction/comedy, and adds to the campaign world in a way that is both simple to drop-in on a map but also very meaty and impactful. In the same token, he isn't someone who is married to his starting location and might gladly travel elsewhere if he thought it would further his goals. He recognizes that he is fighting a losing war with fewer and fewer allies as the days go by and thus is unlikely to be hostile or rude to potential friends (the party).
I would hate for you to sit around waiting in case thunder doesnt reply here, but both vulture and I filled the 1 spot open....so i doubt thunder will add another player at this time. However, if I'm wrong he may still message you. GL in either case!
