Myself and two friends have recently gotten into pnp rpg games through RollPlay and are looking to join a group/campaign. We're all pretty much new players though so somethings would have to be explained, I do have the 3.5 Player's Handbook (though that's the only book we have) and we would be able to create our own characters at the very least.
