Copying game taking hours.

I've been trying to copy a bloated game for over a few hours now. It says it is still copying and hasn't finished. I can see the game has been created with that name. However, I'm not sure if its copied correctly. I'm using the newest version of chrome javascript no exensions no virus scanner. No log to give since I'm just basically copying the game using the exact same sheets and settings. I'm including all of the content, even forum posts.

Could you please provide a log from the tab which says it is still copying? Also, are you able to join the copy and verify if everything is there as expected?
Manually checking would be really difficult. I tried to do the logs but I don't see what I'm supposed to copy. It's blank

Hi Craig, Can you tell me the name of the campaign that you were trying to copy over?
The Begining

Thanks, Craig. I'm also having similar issues making copies from it. I'm going to ask the other devs if they can suss out what's going on.

So after a dig through, the server is timing out on the copying process. The Begining is a 31Mb campaign, which is actually three times the size of Storm King's Thunder (for a size comparison, And SKT is BIG!). A lot of the heavy load is from your journal entries. You have 475 characters, which are using the 5th Edition Shaped Sheets which are very resource heavy with all of their tied-in attributes. Likely all the campaign weight is due to those. My recommendation would be to create a fresh campaign and use the Transmogrify tool to pull only the entries you need for your next series of games. Is there a particular reason why you need a complete duplicate of this campaign?
Yeah, as you can imagine, adding all of those entries took ... maybe a solid 3 weeks of work. I wanted to back them up. I also wanted to make a copy in order to be able to run multiple campaigns. Or even have a "fresh start" for future campaigns.

As a Pro user, you can create campaigns on our developer server. The way we duplicate campaigns from the two servers is a much more compact method, so you may have better luck copying to dev to create a copy/backup, then copying back from dev back to production. The campaign may be too big even for that though, so if so, let us know.
It's been sitting on that page for 20 minutes now. I don't think it's going to work.

Whenever I duplicate a game the maps never copy over. The page sizes do but I expect it wants me to input the maps manually again. Any guides or videos on how to copy a game successfully and fully? Mine isn't quite as big.

Copying a game should create an identical copy (the only thing that will be missing is the API scripts installed on the original) assuming you choose to copy all of the elements: If this isn't happening for you please open your own bug thread following the  technical help steps so that we can keep this one focussed on Craig's issue. Thanks
Aw man, I saw that there were replies and I thought it was a solution.

Hey Craig, we made a couple manual copies of that campaign on our end. They should be in your campaign list now. Let us know if you have any issues locating or opening them. I would highly recommend downsizing future campaigns and chunking them up into smaller adventures where it makes sense or is practical. This will help you avoid this issue from happening again.
Thank you so very much. I'm really happy with the service you have provided.
