On the highway to hack...

We had a player who was returning from a family vacation last night - but hadn't quite returned home before the game as planned. Ended up playing with us from the back of the family van on his laptop paired with his cellphone. Six players and he managed to hear us and broadcast video/voice most of the time. Tower handshakes bumped him occasionally but he was able to play with for six hours. Only real hiccup was when he stopped to gas up and dine with the kids in the middle of a battle.
If that isn't a testament to the power of tools like Roll20, I don't know what is. I'm really glad your friend got to game with you!
