Trying the new chat feature

We will fall back to the standard if refresh fails and to skype if the regular chat fails. In the gear tab select as above/ This will allow me to speak to an individual player without typing, soon all will have that feature. You can shuffle the avatars where you like them. Using the "~" key you can toggle mute on and off. Starting next week you can choose to use video or not, please wear clothes if you do...

I'm not seeing those settings.  

I may be the only one who sees them, I still see them when i log in as player, so you may need to do nothing, except: if you wish to use the tilde (~), you will need to check "Allow advanced keyboard shortcuts".

What are you guys using for webcams. I an purchasing one in the next week or so.

I have a Logitech.  It was given to me by my cousin who was going to start a game but never did so I don't know any of the scematics.  Sorry I'm not much help. 

Logitech seems to be the 800# gorilla in the inexpensive camera market. I have an old logitech that was made for W-98, it worked reasonably well, i used to use it as a "Puppy-Cam", out my window to keep an eye on my dogs. I will probably pick up a logitech at Staples later this week.

We tried the beta last friday. It wouldn't connect for anyone else, but my webcam stream looked great (from my view point).

I could see you on my end.  

Oh yes, that's right, but the audio wouldn't connect.
