Skype + Headset required(edited since I forgot to mention) I am checking to see if there is any interest in a twice a week D&D Next Series (First campaign is just missing minor details, remaining campaigns to follow). It is a homebrew world, where all races/class combinations are available. I am currently looking at the 7PM to 10:15PM Sunday US Eastern time slot as well as 6:00PM to 10:15PM on either Monday/Thursday. I have a summarized history available for those that might want to read it; including summaries of the major cities. (a world map currently exists which was done in paint, but I am working on a world map that will replace it that is being done in Photoshop/GIMP). The first campaign in the series is a variation on the Caves of Chaos module. Most campaigns are open ended, and the style will be dungeon crawl, however the parties approach obviously since it is open ended will be mostly party driven. Obviously this can mean it could be is combat heavy based on the parties actions. Do take note that experience will be tracked by me, as I don't want to feel the party has to/is going to metagame. With that note, the emphasis is on objective based experience, which means the optimal outcome won't always be to kill all creatures to gain maximum experience/reward. (Level 1 will be starting point, with 30 point buy, plus a free Ability Score Improvement to add a personalized flavor to your characer - [can easily be justified by background]) Will be using what players call a "called shot" system, which opens a more concrete RP combat system up to the players (raises requirements to succeed, but increases reward). [aka a Risk/Reward system] . This is completely optional to the players to take advantage of, and is really there to ensure a player has the option to spice things up if they wish. Creatures will be using this sparingly, except for maybe bosses. Backup characters may be a good idea and encouraged but not mandatory as I plan to not bail out the party/individual characters for mistakes. These would typically be head scratchers where everyone will completely understand, but not necessarily always so. Masterwork items will be available after the first campaign is complete. There will be some small "one shot" campaigns sprinkled in as well as part of the finale to the series which is in addition to the 4 major campaigns. Up to the players, is the option for indiviidual based one shot campaigns specifically (after at least the first campaign) if they have loose ends to their character story/background. Finally(at least for now), and the kicker: This campaign will be taking advantage of both dynamic lighting, and line of sight(new for testing to mentors). I feel this adds in the immersion and also increases party communication. Questions please feel free to ask. I do run this campaign series currently once a week in the 3-7PM Sunday timeslot, and they are unavailable to play it past 7(a couple members) and they are also unable to collectively play more than once a week. If my 3-7PM campaign ever falls apart, we should be able to add additional time to the Sunday sesion, probably starting around 6PM as well, maybe 5/5:30PM(If that works with everyone). Oh and I emphasis long term, since the first campaign alone can easily take 20-40 hours if not more based on my experience so far running it as well as the parties actions/direction they take.
