[Interest check] - D&D Next - Long term campaign, Twice a week sessions - Sunday + Monday/Thursday.

Skype + Headset required(edited since I forgot to mention) I am checking to see if there is any interest in a twice a week D&D Next Series (First campaign is just missing minor details, remaining campaigns to follow). It is a homebrew world, where all races/class combinations are available. I am currently looking at the 7PM to 10:15PM Sunday US Eastern time slot as well as 6:00PM to 10:15PM on either Monday/Thursday. I have a summarized history available for those that might want to read it; including summaries of the major cities. (a world map currently exists which was done in paint, but I am working on a world map that will replace it that is being done in Photoshop/GIMP). The first campaign in the series is a variation on the Caves of Chaos module. Most campaigns are open ended, and the style will be dungeon crawl, however the parties approach obviously since it is open ended will be mostly party driven. Obviously this can mean it could be is combat heavy based on the parties actions. Do take note that experience will be tracked by me, as I don't want to feel the party has to/is going to metagame. With that note, the emphasis is on objective based experience, which means the optimal outcome won't always be to kill all creatures to gain maximum experience/reward. (Level 1 will be starting point, with 30 point buy, plus a free Ability Score Improvement to add a personalized flavor to your characer - [can easily be justified by background]) Will be using what players call a "called shot" system, which opens a more concrete RP combat system up to the players (raises requirements to succeed, but increases reward). [aka a Risk/Reward system] . This is completely optional to the players to take advantage of, and is really there to ensure a player has the option to spice things up if they wish. Creatures will be using this sparingly, except for maybe bosses. Backup characters may be a good idea and encouraged but not mandatory as I plan to not bail out the party/individual characters for mistakes. These would typically be head scratchers where everyone will completely understand, but not necessarily always so. Masterwork items will be available after the first campaign is complete. There will be some small "one shot" campaigns sprinkled in as well as part of the finale to the series which is in addition to the 4 major campaigns. Up to the players, is the option for indiviidual based one shot campaigns specifically (after at least the first campaign) if they have loose ends to their character story/background. Finally(at least for now), and the kicker: This campaign will be taking advantage of both dynamic lighting, and line of sight(new for testing to mentors). I feel this adds in the immersion and also increases party communication. Questions please feel free to ask. I do run this campaign series currently once a week in the 3-7PM Sunday timeslot, and they are unavailable to play it past 7(a couple members) and they are also unable to collectively play more than once a week. If my 3-7PM campaign ever falls apart, we should be able to add additional time to the Sunday sesion, probably starting around 6PM as well, maybe 5/5:30PM(If that works with everyone). Oh and I emphasis long term, since the first campaign alone can easily take 20-40 hours if not more based on my experience so far running it as well as the parties actions/direction they take.

Received one PM so far. If you are interested please post which day you would prefer here - Monday or Thursday to hold the weekday session. Pretty much am looking for a core group of 6 that is willing, reliable, and able to make both sessions.
I am available for either weekday right now , The Sunday/Monday grouping might seem like more progress takes place as everything stays fresh over double session, while also allowing people to have rest of week wide open.
sunday is bad for me but am avaliable any other day

Sunday, I really want to stick with at this point, especially since I have another campaign from 3-7. It would work out really well.
Looks like we have a 2nd(based on PMs), and it seems both have a preference for Monday. Essentially once we get a full 6 that can do one of the days I'll go ahead and start it and send invites. I would probably be looking to start this by the 20th. So if Monday wins out then maybe 20th/21st. I'll see what the preference on character creation is, but I normally prefer it to be by the players ahead of time. I do kind of want to a little 1 on 1 to finalize backgrounds etc prior to getting started. That could probably be done in 30 minute skype calls though.
Bryan you can count me in for Sunday Monday.
Bump this to top of list for new day , I'm sure we can find enough for a group and then some.
So, looks like 3 for Sunday/Mon so far.
hi bryan, i am interested in your game... i am avalible both the sunday and the monday... quite new to d&d only really played 3.5 but pretty quick to learn....
I as well am interested in the game. I'm a serious roleplayer and Id be down for sun and mon as well. ! Hope I get in if theres any room lfet haha
Awesome , really looking forward to this. How's everyones Roll20 experience? I highly recommend reading up on https://wiki.roll20.net/Macros and https://wiki.roll20.net/Dice_Reference . Some really good stuff here to help speed the gameplay up
Looks like we have 5.
Sunday and Monday might be iffy because i have to get off at 9 for sleep scheduleing cause i know i need it for my weekdays but as long as it doesnt go past 9 i should be good on either day
Nephio are you central or eastern?
Haven't heard a confirmation from Nephio yet, but since we have 5 that seem like they definitely interested, and possibly some more. I am going to start sending out invitations.
I'd like to join. Since the campaign may be starting the 20th, it will give me time to familiarize myself with D&D Next... I hope. I'm situated in Pacific Standard Time, but I'm able to to make the Sunday session. Monday's session, while feasible for me, will be a bit of a stretch if it ends at 10:15 EST, due to my work schedule. If this isn't a bother to you, I'd like to be given a shot. If a compromise cannot be agreed upon, then I wish you luck in finding the remainder of your your party. Thanks for your consideration.
let me know if u still need people

Sent out 6 invites, 4 accepted currently. So if any fall through I'll let you know. Carlos, bit of stretch means you have to leave at what time? by 7PM Pacific time? or earlier?
Wait... I need to figure out the timezone stuff for this. I don't think I saw a solid time decided on yet, which leave me with a bunch of possibilities to calculate GMT +8 for. Yeah, I'll get back to you for that, but mind if I be someone interested?
If you are +8, I would guess it would be 7AM Tuesday /8AM Sunday for you. I can add you to the waiting list for now. Seeing if the 2 others accept or not. and then if Carlos(if it works for him), then Mike.
Hey, Bryan. What I meant by my earlier comment was that, if the campaign lasted 'til 10:15, it would cut into my prep time prior to going to work. I would appreciate it if we could finish the session a bit earlier, say, 9:45?
I would love to join but im from europe and that timezone stuff is a bit confusing. I could play from about 18:00 to 4:00-5:00 European time. Im not sure if that would match your playtimes but if it does it would be great.
Im Eastern US

Just so everyone is aware, 5th accepted, pending 6th acceptance. I am at this time passing over anyone that can't make the listed times, sorry if you have to leave early, etc.

I would be interested in joining you and I can make the times so long as it's Monday and not Thursday for the second session. What would be the character restrictions and do you intend to incorporate a decent amount of RP in addition to combat? Lastly, are you generally open to character classes? I don't like playing much of the core handbook classes (especially since most of them are so powerful). All of this assumes you still have room of course.
It is Sun/Mon, no character restrictions. I do what some players call a "called shot" system. Players are allowed to attempt difficult specific tasks, which equates to a +2, +4, +6, +8, +10 to the armor of a defense creature, it is essentially a risk/reward system. I do allow custom variations and am willing to work with players balancing and finalizing all of the details. Room like I said will be based on order of post/PM. Waiting on 6th that I sent invite too, if he doesn't get back to me, I'll move on to the next person.
No response from 6th, moving along, mike s PM sent!
Oh, oops. Sunday AM's just not right for me; I have a weekly obligation there. Tuesday is possible, but I already tried a session on another game in the mornings. I found that such times are just not working out for me. Sorry, but as much as I wish to play, I will have to drop out from the waiting list. I hope that you manage to get a good group and have plenty of epic adventures.
Looks like Mike accepted, thank you all for your interest, if you are still interested in me contacting you in the future in case of a drop out, then feel free to send me a PM, otherwise I will assume you've moved on/aren't interested.
Lost our 6th, looking for a replacement. Party consists of a Fighter, Paladin, Mage, Cleric, and a Rogue. Time is set, Sundays 7-10PM and Monday 6-10 PM Eastern.
I'd be interested, could play a Ranger since the party looks to be lacking ranged characters.
Looking for one more, we lost our Rogue, who can't make it to this Sunday and Monday's sessions.
