Interest Check: Dark Heresy Custom Campaign - Sundays - Core Rulebook Only - No Premade Characters

Hey all, its been many years since I have DMed some tabletop thanks to my isolated location. But thanks to Roll20 connecting us tabletop fans together and Dark Heresy peaking my interest, I am very much interested in getting back into DMing. I'm going to give you an idea of what kind of game I am looking to put on and then if you are interested, I ask you to leave a message here if you are serious. What Times? I am looking to get a group together preferably on Sundays (might be able to make some Wednesdays as well) starting in the middle of November.) Time-zone is CST (GMT-6). Looking at either weekly or bi-weekly games. Approximately 3 hour sessions. Who Can Join? (almost) Anyone! Being pretty new to the Warhammer universe myself, I am more than happy to welcome brand new players if they are serious about sticking with it. I'll have a universe primer available for people interested in learning about essential Warhammer40k lore. Who Can't Join? People that can't accept character death. This is Warhammer40k, death is all but a certainty at some point; not because I like killing characters as a DM (I don't), but because that's just the way Dark Heresy is. Also, people who refuse to role-play would not fit. What Kind of Game Atmosphere? Role-Play centric but not super-strict. Meaning: Meta-gaming at a minimum. Players rewarded for role-playing. Using What Materials? Dark Heresy Core Rulebook Only. Adding content from additional books as we go on is a strong possibility. More Basic Things to Know. Characters will be rolled in the first session by-the-book with a few exceptions. Name, height, weight, and class can be personally defined if you wish, but everything else determined by the (digital) dice followed by an introductory mission to get everyone used to playing with one-another. There we have it, please leave a message if you are interested. I'm looking for 4 players, but could probably do 5. Thanks, all!
I'd be interested, this system has had me eyeing it even though I know very little of the 40k universe. Bi-Weekly would probably be better for me as my wife already thinks I game to much :D

With two jobs, I know what its like to be busy with obligations. Thankfully, typically my Sundays are open, but I can understand the need for flexibility. Maybe a "Two on, One off" schedule might work too. Whatever works best for all involved, really.

CST (GMT -6) is my timezone. I'll update the main post.
Saw your post over on Reddit. Very new to Roll20 and DnD/Dark Heresy in general, but I'd like to join in and learn! I'm GMT -4 (EST)

Hey everyone, a little update. I have sent private messages to everyone that has expressed interest so far, between here and reddit I have about 5 people that may be interested. If you are interested but still haven't said anything on this post, by all means still let me know. Nobody has said that they are 100% in yet, and its not super likely that everyone in group that expressed interest so far is going to be able to make it for sure. If you are new to roll20 or Dark Heresy, then don't be shy! Let me know! Also about scheduling. Sunday is my 'for sure' day every week, but I am very open to "scheduling by ear" so to speak after our first few sessions if that's what the group wants to do. Thanks!
I would be interested if you still need another.
I've been looking to get back into RPGs lately, and after searching for in-person games, I'm finally caving in and going to try online. If you still have room, I'd be interested joining in on your game. I'm a big fan of WH40k and have Dark Heresy experience as well.
I would be very interested, I'm a new tabletop player but I am already taking part in one campaign. Furthermore I am a huge fan of the WH40k universe (25+ books read). If you still need some players give me a PM. Best Regards, Lucas
Hey guys, I'll be putting up the Campaign page this weekend and will be giving people who I have already contacted first shot and then I'll open it up to fill the remaining spots. I'll post up on here when that time comes... most likely early next week. Thanks!

if u dont mind someone whos kinda new id like to join i have experience in D&D 4e and PTU as far as role playing goes. for warhammer i have played the fantasy MMO and bloodbowl along with the 40k strategy games im not sure what is possible with character creation but my goal would be a human psycher who was touched by the WAAAAAGH and now acts a bit orky in battle(so probably melee weap in one hand pistolish ranged in the other)
Don't know if it's already full, but I'd love to join. A big nerd for the 40k lore, and have played Only War for quite a whiles, so I'm quite familiar with the system.
I'm really interested if there is a spot still open, I'm not all to familiar with the system but I am well acquainted with tabletop gaming or RP.
Hey, I've played a few Dark Heresy campaigns in the past. We have mixed in some Rogue Trader's books into the game at higher levels. I also play 40k tabletop with Imperial Guard and Eldar. Let me know if you have space for someone like me. My first character was a guardsmen who was skilled in marskmanship. I saved up enough money to buy a heavy stubber (which kicks a lot of ass!) and used it in an encounter against heretics. I was laying down supressive fire at a distance while my team charged up. An agent of chaos sneaked behind our ranks and ambushed me. I had my gut slit opened and I had the option to take my turn holding all my organs in or to take a final action. Needless to say, I shot and killed the lunatic and ended up dying. Fate points be damned!
I don't mean to bump this but I keep getting PMs from this topic. Our group is currently full, thanks for all those that showed interest. I will keep the names in this thread in mind in-case someone drops out. Thanks again!
