[5E Shaped Sheet] Useful Skill and Save macros

Hello friends, Frustrated with opening and closing your character sheet all the time to make Initiative checks, saving throws, or skill checks? Fear no more! Introducing Rando's handy dandy  Skill Macro ,  Saves Macro , and  Initiative Macros ! When using the macros, make sure you have a token selected that has an attached 5e Shaped character sheet! (Exception is the GM Initiative Macro) As a token action, they will appear in the top left when you have one selected. For the Skill and Save macros, it will display a list of the skills or saves with your modifier next to the name in brackets. Select the right one, and away you go! All Macros Note: they always roll 2 dice, for ease of advantage and disadvantage. In the case of neither, use the first roll. Skill Macro Note: Only the first 18 skills will appear, regardless of what they are, so you can reorder skills, and that will be the order they appear in, up to 18. Also note: re-saving the skill or saves macros will break them, and require removing, then recopying the macro text. Make sure you set it up how you like the first time! Hope this helps you guys, Cheers, Rando
Very cool Rando!
Nicely done! I like the use of the with_sign Attributes.
Am I right to assume this works on the current Shaped and not the shaped legacy? This would be very handy for my players.
Thanks guys! @Airatome my groups are using the latest Shaped. You'd have to ask Kryx if the relevant attributes are still the same in the shaped legacy sheet, as I'm not sure.

Nice work ! @Airatome : This will not work for the old shaped. But you can use this : %{selected|check_query_macro} and %{selected|save_query_macro} . For initiative, you can drag and drop the button in your macro quick bar.

The sheet already includes ability check and saving throw macros in both chat macros and query macros. I'm not sure if this is different. Same with initiative. It's already there.
Thanks Alzam! Also thanks for helping out Airatome. @Kryx, yes the sheet has a macro that enters the list into chat, which you then click to pick the save or skill you want, unless I'm missing a different macro. The macros I've created, are drop down selects that also tells you what the mod is on that ability before you select it, and doesn't add noise to the chat for the GM. I personally prefer these, even if it was more work to set up. I like having a drop down, as opposed to something I can misclick and have a check blurb into chat, and knowing what my mod is on an a skill before I try to do it, without having to open and close my sheet. Nothing against the macros that currently exist, they're perfectly functional, but were lacking something for my personal use.

The sheet provides query ones as well. They are listed in the documentation.
Hey Kryx, I've since looked at your macros, but they're still lacking two things for my group. 1. Display stat mod before use. (Less important, but nice quality of life feature) 2. Displays name of character who uses it, in chat, on the roll. (Particularly important for our group) These two reasons are the same reason I didn't just use an option list of the individual check and save macros.  As per the character initiative macro, I realized I did not answer what it does different from yours: 1. Adds in the initiative mod as a percentile, making the tracker auto-sort equal rolls based on initiative mod. 2. Displays name of character who uses it, in chat, on the roll. (Again, important for my group, due to multiple characters) Additionally, the GM initiative macro does the same thing for initiative mod, but allows you to manually enter it, so you don't have to have an npc sheet entered to auto add a token to the tracker. This one does not display name though. Also, as a side note, you may want to consider moving those query macros in the documentation to be with the other skill and save macros, I can't be the only one who missed them.

You can turn on character name - it's in the settings tab. Not sure if it works on the query or not. 1. Adds in the initiative mod as a percentile, making the tracker auto-sort equal rolls based on initiative mod. Again, this is a setting on the settings tab. Turn on the tie breaker for initiative 2. Displays name of character who uses it, in chat, on the roll. (Again, important for my group, due to multiple characters) See above - this is a setting. Query macros are in the documentation. Search for " shaped_saving_throw_query " and " shaped_ability_checks_query ". Though if I'm honest they are not the method I suggest because of how hacky they are and how hard they are to maintain, hence they are no longer a button on the sheet.
I use the query macros all the time and they work just fine. But I'm moving to the chat macros for consistency with the spellbook macros even though I don't like the jumbled, wall of text output of the abilities chat macro.
