2 d&d4e players LFG (UTC-8/PST)

My friend's and my standard group is unreliable at best, so we are looking to get involved in an online game. We are fairly well versed in 4e itself, but new to the online format. We are looking for a DM and a few more players; Preferably a party of 4+. We're generally available Friday through Sunday. Mitochon and myself are starting classes and I'll be unavailable Tuesdays and Thursdays from approximately early afternoon to mid evening(UTC-8/PST) and Mitochon Is really only available during the weekends. By the way if we end up getting more replies than we can handle we'll go on a a first come first serve basis. We are actually pretty full at the moment, sorry guys and thanks for your interest!

Welcome Hooded, Nev, and Zack! Hey guys, It looks like we're starting get a decent group going. We should probably decide on what/when/how often we intend on playing and what houserules, if any, we want. As for Mitochon and Myself we'd prefer Friday, Saturday, or Sunday and we're fairly flexible time-wise.

I prefer fridays or saturdays (excluding this week of course), and I am up for either weekly or monthly depending on what you guys want. As for houserules, I am pretty sure that is DM's call although other ones can be worked out, so if you want me to DM then I will come up with some here (also will take suggestions for some).

I'd like it to be Sundays, but we'll see how things turn out.

Sundays would be tough for me. I have yugioh tournaments during the day and an online game at night. So I would prefer not Sundays, but if it works out for everyone else I can just back out no problem. ^_^

I can do Saturday, although if we are aiming for THIS Saturday then I will have to get things rushed together tomorrow. lol What times look good for everyone? And I would run "Keep on the Shadowfell" to start, so first level characters to start.

i already have a character set up hes a tiefling warlock, infernal pact, backgroud hellfire heir, theme infernal prince, deity mephistopheles. but hes not evil hes more like spawn or ghost rider. has dark powers but uses them for good. and dont worry hes not a brooding character. hes prone to bursts of anger if someone angers him but never to the where hell harm a innocent or his party members. theres more to his personality but those traits will become apparant further on

I would say just use the Point-Buy system for stats.

No, in 4e it is 22 points. Says so in the Player's Handbook 1. Also gives quite a few variations on numbers you could get out of it. Page 17-18 of the PHB1 if you need to reference it.

It might be a bit too soon and I wouldn't want Hooded to have to rush, I also have to buy a Mic and likely wont be able to do that for a few days. I would assume it's 22 point-buy, and if no one wants to be leader I've got a Shifter Runepriest lined up. Being a runepriest his healing would be a bit subpar but his buffing is pretty damn impressive and he has pretty good damage and control, and at later levels he could probably even fill out as an off-defender. His backstory involves werewolves and revenge and whatnot. I've also got a Mul Warden who thinks he's a goliath (not really, but he was raised among them). He's honestly more of an off-defender (I don't really like going full defender) with a fairly hefty amount of damage and single-target/immidiate area control. I'm fine with playing either one of them. Hooded if you need me to send you their backstories or whatnot for approval than just let me know, they should be fairly easy to tie into any modules. Also, just a side note: Mitochon and I are both fairly new to the Roll20 table top so bear with us if we're a bit noobish at first. We're quick learners though and have been fiddling around with it recently to get more accustomed to it.

I have a Tiefling Paladin ready. Anyways, whos in the lineup so far?

Looks like we have a Leader (Runepriest), Defender (Paladin), and a Striker (Warlock). Working on a character myself right now. Not sure what I'm doing yet.

Another striker, controller, or healer would be great.

Working on a goliath seeker. Are we ok to use Themes and Backgrounds?

If we need another leader and if Hooded is alright with themes I've got a gnome lazylord I could use. I've also got a thri-kreen fighter/rogue hybrid if we need another striker but I'd be kind of an off-defender as well.

Warlord that has no attacks of his own and only chooses powers that grant attacks to allies. I'd also be a semi-decent healer with the build.

lol Yes we are allowed to used themes and backgrounds, but please don't aim to min/max or break a character. Min/maxing will only be allowed with a backstory showing how they specialized in the main areas and became weak in the others. I am keeping all of the options open for you guys for a few reasons. xD

Are you guys open to another player by chance? I've played 4e for a few months and can create a character to fill any void that might exist.

Ok I've decided to scrap the previous two characters I mentioned and I'm probably going with a ranger.

And I have dropped the seeker for a Dragonborn Blackguard. OK to have two pallys? Mine will be unaligned and a member of the Temple of Io's Children.

Since we're getting pretty close to saturday it would probably be prudent to know if everyone is still available and if so how long do we want the session to last? and what time do we want begin it? Due to some unforeseen circumstances I will only be available this saturday to play at times before 8 pm (UTC-8/PST). Oh and btw I've settled on playing a minotaur druid.
