LF Healer for Pathfinder (Jade Regent) (Sundays @ Noon CST)

One of our players disappeared who is playing our Cleric just went and vanished, and now we are left without a main healer. We run a 10 hour session every Sunday starting at Noon CST with some breaks every so often, and we communicate over Skype so a headset is required. If anyone is interested in joining please reply. Character requirements is going to be Level 3 w/ 1000GP of spending money (In the middle of a dungeon), you can have 2 Traits & 1 Campaign Trait (Check Free Player's Handbook of Jade Regent). The only 3rd party materials is going to be feats but I have to approve of them before selection.
does it realy have to be a healer... i wouldnt be apposed to making a cleric .. but not many people can bear the drugery of playing a healbot
Well since our healer up and left, it would probably be of the party's best interest to have someone who can be a primary healer to replace him. Not every dedicate healer sits around and only dishes out heal spells.
Mike, if you think being a cleric makes you solely a healbot..you have no idea how to play a cleric then...they get awesome offensive spells, can use spells to make themselves fighter equivalents of their level, they get save or die spells before any of class. If cleric didn't have spontaneous casting then it would be solely a healbot class.

Cleric has Channel Energy, that's really all the healing you need - use your spells for something else that's more fun and effective. Also, I suspect that a party that has too dire a need for a healbot isn't playing very smart and should try to stop getting hit so much.
Our group just lacks someone who can heal as needed...we got a druid but they can be rather limited and cant spontaneous cast heals.

Jon said: If cleric didn't have spontaneous casting then it would be solely a healbot class. If cleric didn't had spontaneous then he would be less healbot he is now. Wizard cant convert spells to heals so he can use them as he wants - every spell used by cleric is -1 potential heal to the party. If party can sustain on channels then cleric will have fun, and convert only if things get sour, but that depends. Anyway, you may want to consider hedge witch (can convert and have free CLW per party member per day) or life oracle (spontaneous heals and channels). Chirurgeon alchemist will work if you can survive battles to heal afterward.
Either way, we need someone who can heal the party during combat and out of combat when necessary.
If this is still available, I'll express interest in it. If only because I want to test out an Oradin-esque build (Life Oracle/Paladin/etc). Would that be fine?
he asked for A dedicated healer =D not someone that can heal or someone that wants to play a healing class .. in my mind someone that is dedicated to healing ... would be a heal bot..
why are you even responding to this thread mike...
Mike, why are you arguing with someone in a thread that is dedicated for looking for an extra player. If you are not interested in joining the group due to your personal views then why are you bothering to make posts in this thread.
If you don't mind going over the basics of the system, I'm a familiar tabletop gamer but mainly stay in my comfort zone of 4E. And to the folks complaining about being a healbot, believe it or not... there are some nutjobs like me out there that kinda like the role so bugger off with your incorrect assumptions.
