I can't be the only one who noticed...

That all of the LFG threads for solo players looking for groups are being hijacked pretty much constantly, can I?
Yup, when you ask "Am I the only one?" the answer is always "no". As for the matter at hand, people can be generally shy to make their own threads, can try to pull a "me too" in hopes of hopping onto the same train and anything of the sort In general there are a lot more players who are looking to join the game than the ones who actually go and take the initiative of creating those threads, so these are the results
Sorry, this was a poorly crafted under-handed attempt at pointing out that even after the LFM updates, we still need it to be more user friendly and useful. I could have worded/crafted it a lot better.

A thread per person is a little bit of a clumsy thing. Looking at the LFG forum right now there are 50 posts on the first page, none over a day old. Second page 3 days old. Third page 5 days old. Any single post quickly drops out of view, so "me too" is really helping keep the thread alive and ensures more people see it. I think a better method would be to have an expanded player directory, where you could mark the times you're available, the systems you're interested in, and if you're looking to run or play in a game. Though it'd need to include a requirement to 'renew' the entry each week or two, to prevent it being choked with out dated records. As someone new to roll 20 finding information at present seems quite difficult, most of the threads I've looked at have several times more people interested in the game than there is capacity within hours of a post. I'm not sure such an approach is especially good at matching players with games, and presume it excludes a large number of players who don't spend hours watching the forums.
what there needs to be and what i've seen elsewhere is thread: game seeking players and separate thread: players looking for game.
