THREAD CLOSED. Thanks Everyone!
Name: Josua Johnson Experience: I don't have much experience playing, I played most recently on my birthday last year. I was told that I was good at roleplay by the current gm, I was playing Dragon Age tabletop and I was a eccentric Orlesian knight. I've also played a Mad Scientist in Call of Cthulhu. Otherwise the rest of my experience was in hosting daily games for nearby friends who cant attend anymore due to having lives. I've hosted Paranoia (1st and XP), DnD (3, 3.5, 4, Next, and some D20s), Numenera, Pathfinder, Mutants and Masterminds, Shadowrun (4 and 5), Kobolds Ate My Baby, and Stuper Heroes. I'm not proud of the last one though, that game was awful. So I have great rules memory and retention. So I have plenty of experience host but almost none in playing. Preferred Class: Tengu Ninja (pathfinder), but you are asking for 3.5. Ranger I feel is under rated, and nobody wants to be a Wizard not when Sorcerors can cast without books and implements. So I prefer Ranger and Wizard, but I can play anything, give me a character with a dump primary attribute and I'll make it work. What I dislike: 3.5 doesnt give enough feats it focuses too much on hand outs for fighters, and I feel that it makes the other melee classes less appealing. I hate loud players who hog the spotlight, and I don't like being the only one who roleplays (unless the campaign isnt story heavy then i wont roleplay I need to be stimulated to roleplay). I won't use skype to play. And lastly, Tarasques and Mindflayers.
Hello! I'm Bruno Bertoni I had experience with D&D a long time ago, around 2001, played some games here and there. But i haven't played anything like it since about 7 years ago, so i don't think it would count so much in terms of rules and etc. I remember some of the important rules and all of that, but i would need to read everything again to be on time with it! I could play pretty much anything since i don't know in what place the game is now and what are the differences between 3.0 and 3.5. I don't know if there would be much level advances, but i liked very much playing anything like fighter/cleric, or cleric/fighter, played some ranger also, and wizards and sorcerers (more of the second) i would have some experience too. Didn't played much bard, rogue or monk, but that would be very interesting, neither druids, paladins, barbarians, etc... I'm really open to everything and play anything, since for me it's like a new start! I dislike too much metagaming, and when things that would take little time end up taking much more time then intended (and by this, i don't mean a simple discussion about what to do, but i kinda "lost" some sessions just in a tavern argueing about what we would do in that town). I'm okay with "split-ups" in the party, since no players take over the story or too much time for themselves, and that's a DM's responsibility I would say... Well, i think that pretty much answers everything! Hoping to play with you! Bruno
Hey, I'm Manny and I have a good amount of experience with 3.5 and 4E. I've played since i was 14, approx 10 years but there was a break in between. Hard to find local groups these days. Which brings me on here. i've played every character class/race pretty much. I just hate the complicatedness of spellbooks for wizards. Altough a wizard is pretty much God at higher levels. My preferred class, i can't really say. i'm open... really open to anything. I do tend to take a leader role within the group often but this will be the first time online so i'd probably take a step back and listen and be more pensive. I'm thinking a knight or paladin class maybe? Stalwart, quiet, honorable. the only thing about dnd and the players i dislike is when the group gets split on moral decisions. it tears me up inside to just... go with the flow but i don't wanna damage the consistency and flow of the group.
Hello. My name is Carlos O. I don't have much experience, as I just embraced the hobby a few months ago. However, I am the (DM/GM/Storyteller/Narrator/Referee) of my household, which means I do most of the heavy-lifting and dirty-work in order to get my family members to play tabletop RPG's and board games, without being bogged down by rules and such. While I don't have much experience with D&D 3.5, I have some experience DMing D&D 4e and Pathfinder, the latter being the closest to 3.5e. I'd be willing to learn and get mentored by more experienced players, but I don't usually try to optimize; I much prefer to roleplay and try to have fun without resorting to rules-lawyering. I've been picking the Fighter as my first go-to pick for class selection, because I've gotten kinda burned out of keeping track of classes with many features and spells for my party (see above), and I think the Fighter has the most straight-forward class features from the core classes. However, I'm willing to change my class in order to better fit the party line-up, if anybody else wants to go Fighter, I'm willing to change my class, too. My dislikes about D&D, or tabletop RPG's in general, is that I don't get enough of them. Too many times have my sessions been cancelled due to party members not being able to attend, reschedules, player boredom, lack of imagination, etc. So, really, I dislike some players. Hopefully it's a small number, at that.

Hello, I'm Cody. I have quite a bit of experience roleplaying. I started 11 years ago and have been playing here and there ever since. I have quite a bit of experience with 3.5 and it's probably my favorite system. My preferred classes tend to be in the area of a rogue. I like being able to smooth talk and skulk around. Preferring to avoid getting into combat unless I have to, and then making sure my party and I have the upper hand. Unfortunately, this character type has not been the most effective with the group I tend to play with as they're heavier on roll-playing than roleplaying. So I'm also quite familiar with barbarians and rangers as they satisfy my wilderness-y side haha. I've sort of already touched on one thing I dislike, and that is games that tend to be more combat heavy. I mean I like combat just as much as the next guy, but I really haven't ever had a real good chance to play a game that focuses on the roleplaying aspect. Most of the games I am in tend to focus on killing things quick and they only last a few sessions before people get bored of it all. I want nothing more than to get into a game that focuses on interactions between players and the world beyond just what I hit with my sword. Bottom line I think the general synopsis of your campaign (based up reading your post) is a really neat idea and I would love nothing more than to be able to sink my teeth into it. ~Cody
Thanks for the replies! Feel free to add me on Skype: Jellyfisherr I'll chat more with everyone there and hopefully we can get another group fit into Sunday's schedule! Cheers! Mike (Jelly, ƒlorin, GM)
Don't use skype, I can't remember my info, and whenever I ask for them to give me my info they send me a email with broken links. So thanks but no thanks, I refuse to use skype.
