Audio/Visual Problems.

Hi Roll20 staff and stuff. My problem is that over the last few weeks/months I have been unable to hear anything or broadcast voice or video. The rest of the room seems fine though, and this seems to only happen in an international game. Namely, 'The Fortunes of Night'. I've been a good boy and have read and tried all of the solutions on the 2 appropriate pages below: https://wiki.roll20.net/Solving_Technical_Issues https://wiki.roll20.net/Audio_Visual_Troubleshooti... as well as part of: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/2695220/a-slash-... As far as the console log...I'm still struggling to figure out which part of the console log I need to copy-paste. Additionally, during my troubleshooting attempts I not only disabled every single extension and cleared my entire cashe, but I also have tried messing with several other settings. Unfortunately, I have not run a game on here in a while so I don't have any other campaigns which I can compare it to, but I seem to have extra difficulties with this specific campaign on this specific computer. Will come back and update this thread/edit this post when I have the time to get you more system data and I don't have a headache. I did at one time fix the audio at one point, and I may try using firefox and will keep an eye out for future problems and the circumstances that surrounded these lapses in connectivity, as an international game (with someone in the Philippines, someone in Japan, and somewhere within the middle east or something) can provide unique circumstances and server drain on even the most robust of systems. Thanks for your time, - Harrison, aka ThatOneKid

Hello Harrison, A couple questions for you: Do you encounter the same audio and video issues happening with both Firefox and Chrome? Do you work with multiple audio devices (headset and speakers) and swap between them for gaming sessions? If yes to that last one, have you tried plugging in your desire audio/mic input and then checking Windows's audio setting to make sure you have your headset selected as the currently used source? Have you been able to figure out for certain if the audio and video to work on another device/computer?

Yes. That is to say, during that time period I was having similar issues on both types of platforms, intermittently. 2. Yes. 3. Yes. 4. Yeah, during this time period I have had to use at least 2 different computers in several different locations (geographically, and between networks). I'll continue to keep you updated and make sure that it's not something on my end, as basic computer stuff like hard drive disk defrag and the like can slow down or cause things to not work at all.

Two days ago we made some updates to how Video and Audio is handled . One of the additions was added more stability to Roll20's WebRTC. Have you tried using your webcam/headset since this update? There are two different types of voice chat on Roll20 - OpenTok WebRTC (older version) and Roll20 WebRTC (new). You can swap between the two in the Settings tab of the Sidebar under Video + Chat Options. Does it make any difference when you're using one or the other?
