[LFP] Batman: The Animated Series, After The Fall.

Theme Music   For weeks a gang war has been rampaging through Gotham. Commissioner Gordon and the brave members of Gotham PD have struggled to bring an end to it. Even Batman was feeling the fatigue. Night after night he waged his own war against the criminal element, but this was not like anything he had encountered before. It seemed as if the random acts of crime were not as random as they first appeared. Long nights of fighting bled over to long days of investigation, sifting the clues trying to find the link that would make the chain complete. It seemed impossible, but the evidence was there. Ra's al Ghul and his League of Assassins were assisting the crime bosses of Gotham from the shadows. Having caught a hint that a meeting of the bosses was to happen, Batman wasted no time swinging into action. However, worn as he was from the long nights and even longer days he wasn't able to spot the trap before it was too late.   Ambushed by League assassins, Batman almost had the upper hand until a new card was delt. "No, I can't let him WIN," the Joker bellowed from a rooftop across the way, and with a smile he said, "You loose Ghouly ol' boy." With that, he pressed the button on the control panel in his hand. The building exploded, collapsing down on itself as Joker danced admist the chaos. He fully expected any moment for that sublime timing of his nemesis to kick in. He soon would face off against Batman as they have countless times before. However, this time something was different. Batman didn't appear on the rooftop, he was ruining the moment. His timing was off and the Joker knew a thing or two about timing. As the fire department, EMTs and police arrived, in that order, Joker felt a chill go down his spine.  Its then that he saw Batman's body pulled from the wreckage, before the world the mask was removed revealing the face of Bruce Wayne, he was pronounced dead on the scene.  Days later the Joker checked himself into Arkham muttering, "Its just not fun without ol' Batsy to kick around," and with that statement he lapsed into a catatonic fugue to which no one could reach him. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------  The Bat has fallen, its time for new heroes to rise up to defend Gotham, because while Batman is no more, the city still needs protection. This game will be run loosely with Mutants & Masterminds 3rd edition and I am basing it on Batman: The Animated Series. I am looking for vigilanties, acrobats, weapon experts, ninja, characters that would have fit well in the cartoon series. Super Powers should be limited to training, gadgets and whatnot. As this is based on The Animated Series "murder hobo" PCs are not suitable. If your character's A and B plan involves killing all the bad guys, this game might not be for you.  The game will be set at PL 9 as the characters that were not able to rise to the top in the shadow of the Bat. I'm looking for 4 players, the game will be on Wednesdays at 8pm EST. I plan for the game to be weekly.
I do have one idea kicking around in my head for a while now, I am just not sure if it fits or not.  He is a PI who is good at getting the drop on people with his taser.  The potential problem is that he is also a werewolf.  He does not like to spend time in his were form because he fears how little control he has as a beast.  Btw, which animated series?  I presume the first one, but I want to make sure.

Are you flexible at all with the day/time? I have Tues and Thurs free. So the day ether side >.< but not weds itself due to another game. I can make the 8pm EST but that is midnight GMT and while that is fine I would like it to start 1-2 hours earlier :)
Tuesdays an hour or two earlier is fine by me.

This sounds incredible. I'd love to play. Maybe a former member of the League of Assassins trying to set things right.

I'm certainly intriuged by this for sure I can make that time and I've got two characters I could play A homeless man who in a previous life (when he was younger) was trained in the ways of the samurai and now goes around fighting crime An ex assassin (not related to the Leauge) who is on the run from the gang she worked with, her her daughter / sidekick
i have a character who is a tech genius inventor and also a bdsm enthusiest who frequents the exclusive club "The Foxglove" and spends quality time with such individuals as Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Zatanna. She was not allowed to do superhero antics in gotham because batman is especially jealous of the city, but now that he is gone she will most likely offer her services to the robins and try to help the best eshe can.

Id be Interested in Joining if theres still Room, have a few ideas for characters id like to try. 1) Guy that used to work at Wayne tech, now fights crime with Trick arrows 2) Local Kung Fu Expert thats not having any of this crime bullshit in his neighborhood 3)  A teen hero/Ex-sidekick looking to prove himself Question is this going to be a Voice or Text game?
OK sorry for the slow response, the hurricane hit me pretty bad and I have been without power for a few days. I'll try to tackle all the questions in order.

Not sure about the werewolf thing. As for the animated series? The real one, the first one that started it all ;) Batman: The Animated Series.

All those concepts would be fine, its a voice game. "I ain't got time to read."

its just background story. shes not going to be running around with leather and whips.  catwoman already has that covered. :P but dont worry about it. the crux of it is shes a supergenius who invents power armor mecha suits and other such gadgets. thats the important thing.

Hey if you move to tuesdays id be interested in playing. Havent played M&M before (god now i want chocolate) but got a few of the books. If im allowed in im thinking of playing something like a stage magician type guy no actual magic just smoke and mirrors and whose main motivation is to have people look up to and revere him not so much out of any actual goodness in his heart but as an ego boost.  this stops him from killing people as well as "How can they talk about how I heroically foiled their plans when they are dead?"  also less combat based and more based in other stuff, sneaking, talking, sleight of hand etc
Would you allow someone based on Man-bat? I was thinking they were a safe cracker who was hired to steal the serum and got trapped in the vault, and drank the serum in order to escape. Or were captured and injected with it. I'm more interested in being man-bat than going on a psycho rampage and having jekyl/hyde amnesia, so I'd prefer to control my shifts and have my wits when shapechanged.
Thank you everyone that showed interest in the posting. I sent out invites to people and for now the game is full. I plan to run each game like an episode of the TV series, if I can pull it off. So with season 1 plotted out, Season 2 might have room for new characters. I just want to make sure I don't get canceled before the show gets going. I'm not the world's greatest GM. I just have big ideas.
I'd consider playing if I could live my dream and play as The Batman.  Good thing I'm running a Gotham-based game myself over Roll20 too, using DC Heroes 3e.
