I'll invite you to the campaign and you can read my description of the setting and style, on the game details page. Check for PM with game join link. Campaign is called "Adventures in a Homebrew World". Quick summary -- Homebrew setting created by me with a full globe map, continent map, region map, and home base city map. Tone is similar to Forgotten Realms, high fantasy, high magic, long term, character development, epic campaign. Complete Book of Humanoids is allowed (alternative races you may choose to play). Gameplay consists of approximately 1/3 RP, 1/3 exploring, 1/3 combat. Characters are currently around 5th-9th level, campaign is intended to reach 15th level eventually, you can start with +32,000 XP starting XP (4th or 5th level depending on class). Any mages are encouraged to be a specialist mage, and it's similar for Priests too. PC's are Non-Evil alignments and alignment is somewhat downplayed for this, but it's basically meant as epic-heroism party that is force for good, against largely evil enemies and monsters. We use ascending AC (like D&D 3.5, 5E, Basic Fantasy, etc) and this is a simple conversion from 2E traditional AC. There is a process for making characters, you'll start on our introduction thread that lists the playable species and classes, then you'll use my custom dice macro in the game table to roll Ability Scores, at that point I'll assign a fresh Character Sheet for you to start filling. To prepare ahead of time, just review the 2E Player's Handbook Chapters 1-5, and optionally flip through Complete Book of Humanoids or a PDF of it. The party is just about to start a new quest, they are going into a mysterious tower with no doors or windows, rumored to be crawling with undead and elementals, by the way the local General has banned any adventurers or military people from trying to explore this tower so it is an unauthorized secret expedition. A kenku priest who is a close ally of the party has already gone into the tower and is missing. We don't have anyone playing a Thief PC or an Elf or Halfling at the moment, but there are other choices too and you can play what you want (from the choices that are listed in the setting).
