Hello Roll20 community, I am seeking a group of potential friends to play D&D5e with. Age: I am 31 years old. Experience: I played my first game of AD&D 2nd edition in 1994. We played several systems through the years, and I stopped playing for a long time. However I have been actively playing 5th edition since the playtest. Availability: Most weekdays and Sunday after 3:30pm EST. Saturday is open. For the next 7 mondays I am running a mini campaign so I will temporarily be unavailable on that day. What I am looking for in a game Communicative players I enjoy playing games where people talk in character and have conversations with the NPCs In combat, having players reasonably ready with their actions (New players exempt) Engaging Story I like stories, they don't have to be witty or original. The same story can be told different ways with a different band of characters present. A lot of TV shows have the same type of episodes, but they are told a different way through the characters eyes. Difficult Encounters I like having to think about my character and his/her abilities. Sometimes having to play my character like a chess game can be very fun. I also like the encounters to enrich the story. Pitting our characters against a easy encounter because the NPC's underestimate us can also be fun. It shows that our characters have grown. What you can expect from me as a player Working Audio I have a working microphone and headset, and backups that are in good condition and quality. If I have any audio issues I can generally resolve them in a few minutes. On Time I will communicate my schedule and inform the DM if I will be late (even if it looks like I will be late 2minutes) Prepared Characters My characters will be prepared between sessions. I will make sure they are leveled up, and ready to go Even as a caster I try to make sure my turns are taken swiftly. Sometimes something happens right before my turn and I have to switch to a backup plan. I am ready to rp my actions as well if that is something the table likes to do. Detailed Backstories I like to collaborate with DMs on characters that will both integrate into the game world and work with the party. I don't mind creating a little party conflict (not player conflict), but everyone understands that the characters ultimate motivations rest with helping the party with their goals. Once settled on a character that works I can try to provide a short story that could potentially iron out details for the DM to use later if they wish. Limited Voice Acting I have a range of voices I can do for characters. I am no professional voice actor, but I feel like the voices differentiate between my character talking, and me talking to the group or asking a question. Coaching (if requested) I have no issues teaching new players or DMs. I am very experienced on Roll20, and can show both players and DMs a few tricks to help out. Photoshop I have a working knowledge of photoshop. I can design my own tokens to use with the game.
