Hello there, I've been playing with this idea for a while and I'm wanting to gauge the community interest in it. I'm not asking for players right now, but would appreciate any voicing of interest or suggestions about the idea in general. I was thinking about running some one-shot roll20 games with the intention of introducing people who are totally new to Pathfinder or pen and paper RPGs to the game in a relaxed, no-pressure environment. Once I had a group of new players I would walk them through creating level 1 characters in Pathfinder, along with explaining the mechanics and role-play concepts behind character creation. I would then run them through a short starting adventure while explaining the basics of role-playing, game mechanics, player/GM roles and so forth. Once the adventure concluded they would be set with legal characters that could be used in other Pathfinder games along with general knowledge about the game allowing them to join other games with some confidence. I would likely run a number of these with a new group each game, maybe bi-weekly or so. (I chose Pathfinder because I personally prefer it, and it has many useful online resources players can reference without books or clumsy .pdfs) So what do you think? If you're a new player would you find this useful? Any suggestions or ideas?
