Hello! I'm posting on behalf of our DM for our campaign, Fate on Virtue's Wings, a campaign being DM'd by my friend but written by me and with artwork provided by me. It is a follow up to a current (and soon to be completed) campaign, Dreams of Love, and takes place in the same world but in a later time setting and with the impacts of the previous campaign, therefore putting it as a part of a greater canon. Two of us are going to be returning players (me and one other). This is a LATE NIGHT campaign , and takes place late nights at 9:30 Pacific to about 4 AM Pacific (+2 hours if in central). We play typically on Mondays and Tuesdays, with rare occasional and optional third days. We need people who are looking to devote a long term commitment to the campaign . The campaign is not scheduled to start yet but is likely in the next month or so, so we're recruiting ahead of time. What is it? Fate on Virtue's Wings is a modern-fantasy, anime-style RP in 5th edition D&D. It is intended to be a mix of RP and Combat alike, with strong emphasis on character interaction and potentially romance options between player characters and NPC party members. Players will be playing as wanderers who are coming together in the common interest of "getting away" from their life, be it for glory, fortune, honest work, or escape, and soon to be working under a single patron who could make good use of their talents. There will be an additional homebrew system added on top, which will be revealed when the story has progressed far enough. As a result, this campaign is a higher power campaign and may be much more difficult than your average D&D adventure, but you will have more tools at your disposal. Your character will be involved in a duality of Light and Dark, with elements tied to it as the campaign progresses (Light and Dark being thematic elements, not a morality system), and find out the further origins of the world. Additionally, forming bonds between NPCs and player characters will be essential to uncovering more story details and plot information, as well as contributing to roleplay. Some outside elements may be present to help further contribute to the roleplay experience. Why Furry? And is this just another ERP? A common interest among the DM and players involved, and an aesthetic choice. It provides a lot of fun roleplay context and a departure from the normal D&D races. Each D&D race has a conversion for an animal or choice of animals and is purely aesthetic. Normal races still exist, but furry variants are preferred. Though this is labeled as mature, the only mature elements may be potential graphic scenery, suggestive themes, occassional innuendos and fade-to-blacks. We would only like people age of 18 and over to participate, for a long list of other reasons -- namely group maturity. What Artwork? I'm the artist and provider of portraits for campaign. I mainly do very anime-ish furry art (Kemono) that's heavily inspired by Japanese artists from Pixiv. I can do portraits for players ( at a price ) but I am providing all of the NPC portraits for the DM. Purchase of a portrait is NOT required to be a player. They end up looking something like this: I have work in some personal places and it's not too hard to find the rest P: What do I need to know? You will be given a synopsis and brief references to the previous campaign, but otherwise, the stories are not directly related. Some characters may return, but you will learn as any new player will. What are you looking for? Players must 18 years or older. Must like furry and anime content. See LFG for further details. Experience with 5e is greatly preferred , but experience with D&D in general is acceptable. We use discord. This is a voice based campaign. You can find the LFG here for further information and apply there as well: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/59001/fate-on-v...
