Creating Game Demos

Hello Roll20 community I have always had a love for strategy games and role playing games, and I DM a 3.5 campaign for my friends. That is what brought me to this site originally. However, I was curious about using Roll20 for an entirely different objective. I have several ideas for a RPG system and board games, and I just wanted someone to clarify for me whether or not those ideas would still belong to me if I created demos of them on roll20? Also, assuming they would still be my creative property, could I use roll20 screenshots, or videos of my games on sites like kickstarter or youtube if I wanted to publicize my ideas? I want to create these things with the ultimate goal of sharing them, and making them into something great(steep goal, I know), so I just don't want to spend all my time testing them on roll20 if I would need to create them in another media later on.  I apologize if this is in the wrong forum. I just assume this a specific use question about how I can use the site. Thank you! Brett
