[Interest check] [LFP&GM] Experimental D&D4e Horror Campaign

Good evening gents and madams of all kinds, Now I hear your thoughts exactly. " What are you getting off at Sir?" *Ahem* Well, what I mean by an experimental D&D 4e campaign horror campaign, I mean ones inspired by things such as Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Call Of Cthulhu and much much more. I have poked at, treated, and edited an experimental idea at a take on D&D4e. What is it called? Rysen Darkness. "But why D&D 4e instead of [insert possibly better tabletop here]" Well dear player of interest, as I've spent months looking at the mechanics of D&D 4e, I realized that while there may possibly be better formats... I am taking inspiration from two games with heavy fighting from them that felt like it made D&D 4e a rather good format to stand by and modify. I feel like it's got the current essentials that I would want, but at the same time, needs only bits and bobs from here and there to perfect it. So sure I could absolutely use a different system say... Pathfinder? Savage worlds? Etc. But I feel D&D already has the essentials I would need, but just needs a sprinkled mechanic or two into it. Call of cthulhu seems a bit more focused on having something like Silent Hills would, where you feel mundane yet so mundane it's not what I'm going for.  "Alright I'll bite, you've have got my attention so far... so what IS this game?" Alright so, this is an experimental D&D 4e horror that I've spent months trying to perfect. From both useable backgrounds for benefits to some specialized mechanics like sanity (inb4WhyNotCoC?). I have took heavy inspiration from Bloodborne and decided this was a sort of "hardcore horror" experience that I would prefer remains not only quite a challenge but also remains heart pumping. Mechanics such as weapon durability, infectious diseases, cursed items, and insanity. Now I understand, are all of these original? No, a couple were rather dragged and dropped. This is a game bent on being hard, not impossibly hard but hard while being horrifying. "Alright I'm still here, what kind of game will this be? Roleplayed? Action Based?" Now see this will be a bit more roleplay focused, but will you be all powerful and amazing? More than likely not. In fact I rather plan to modify to make sure things remain balanced, but that you don't one shot a whole part of monsters in a single round or two. The idea is that the player is like anyone else but willing to try and take back the world despite the looming threat of darkness. Its a mix with leaning roleplaying, don't expect to raise an army and charge at orcs... but expect yourselves to praise every safe haven you can get to.  "Alright, so is everything finished? What kind of players and possibly another GM, would you be looking for?" I want players who are not afraid to go through trial and error, to be in a shifting game that looks to balance itself while trying to remain creepy and horrific while being hard. I am looking for players that are willing to take up the flag of being in a game that wants to kill them, and show them their guts and the torment. Is everything absolutely finished? Well no, the issue is balance, and with that... it's hard to do by one's self. That is why I am also calling on another to be an assistant and possible player of the game on the other side. I want a GM who has a passion for the horrific and the passion to work with another and trying to make a rather dark D&D game that aims for challenge. "I have some criticisms about this, like what the hell is [insert issue here]?" I understand that this is not for everyone, I also understand the sound of it being experimental is rather sitting on the edge of things. I mean, a hard D&D game that drives to be something like dark souls in a way? I must be mad and have lost me bloody mind! Which is why this is also an interest check. This is so far nothing but a pipe dream, without people who are willing to go through the experience. I have GM'ed for a time so I don't plan to screw this up. If you have other recommendations or concerns, this is okay. I only ask you address them respectfully and logically. I haven't answered every question here or I would be writing a bloody book, so this is why I want to look to you lot. Do you think this would be a game worth trying? Would you want to place yourself as a player or an assisting GM in this campaign? What breaks you away from wanting to try and what concerns you the most of what could happen? I am open and will now gladly take on players/questions. Thank you for listening.
I've experimented with Horror D&D myself. I told one group that I wanted to simulate them "Drowning in Blood," and they eventually all quit due to the stress. I'm assuming we'd want to avoid that here. Regardless, side-DMing is always fun and I wouldn't mind based on the time, speaking of which you should really put up when you are available . I could see playing NPC characters, escorts and the like, but I dont like letting the Player-DM gap merge. That being said I have some concerns, mostly that 4e tends to be combat heavy, and horror tends not to be. Horror comes from a lot of places, one of the strongest of which is helplessness; which is why I wouldn't really consider Dark Souls horror, Amnesia would probably be a better example. Mystery and the Unknown can be useful in this regard, but I'd question how powerful that will be when the players know they can fight through everything. I think what i'm trying to say is, I hope you developed good "Run Away" mechanics, as that would bring the horror back in. Its not hard to find players with a willing Dm, So this pipe dream will probably be fulfilled if you can figure out a date/time. Again, i'm willing to help balance, play some side characters, and give some advice based off my previous experience with the genre. Feel free to send me a PM and we'll see what we can work out.

Ah yes availability, forgot to mention that rather quickly. It would most likely be hosted nightly where I am but mainly still afternoon/evening for some others (Depending). I agree 4e can be more combat heavy, agreed, my plan was to make sure combat was the last resort if all else fails. The idea is to try and make other means of solving a situation besides fighting. Which is where some of the mechanics such as sanity come into play, some monsters being too horrifying for the natural eye that sanity drains and they begin to either lose their minds or escape. The idea is to make fighting look "unnecessary" in any way possible. Date is not really being realized at the moment, I plan to have to try this launched around a couple or months or sometime early next year. Time I already know will be more organized to evening/nightly to kind of add to the feeling. If you wish to be on this I'll happily bring you into it
