Hello all, its been awhile since I have played 5E and I want to go back to it to see if it is any good, since I don't have as much time for prep and other stuff like that I have decided to go the Published Adventure route. First with Lost Mines Of Phandelver and then if we finish that: Princes of the Apocalypse. My GM style though is very much creating questions for you to answer, I love putting up obstacles that it takes a group discussion and a clever idea to complete so it will be played a little differently then to the book. Instead of a story line that your going through Chapter by Chapter I will give you a bit of freedom to complete situations how you want to. Not everything has to be killed...unless you want it to be killed. For inspiration I'm actually going to be using the Angry GM hack. Basically you have inspiration at the start of a session, but to get the advantage you have to take an action that is connected to your personality trait/ideals. To get inspiration back during the session you have to impose a disadvantage on yourself, that connects to a flaw or personality trait, to one roll. My best day to do this is Friday, and I live in UK so GMT timezone. Looking for about 5 players. When applying answer this simple question: "There is a big circular pit in the middle of the room that is about 100ft deep, you can see glinting in the middle of it a valuable gem. The sides of the pit are super steep and there doesn't seem to be anything else in the room except blank walls" How do you attempt to get the gem?
