Curious about token visibility

Hey Everyone, I was wondering if there is a way to have tokens visible to some players but not visible to other players. I am working on a Player vs. Player type game that would benefit greatly from this and I am just not sure if it is possible right now. Please let me know. Thank you!

There is nothing built in that will allow this, but it is a problem that could be solved with an (admittedly somewhat complicated) API script.

There are several Suggestions for adding a feature like this, if you would like to add your Comments and vote +1, here is one, Add a "seen by" drop down to Tokens.

If you're unconcerned with things on the GM layer, you could promote the controller of the invisible token to GM and allow them to utilize that layer. Non-GM players won't be able to see the tokens on that layer.
Thank you, everyone. These were all helpful and The Aaron I am not savvy at all with API's but I will definitely will take a look at your suggestion.
Make a rollable table with a "clear" token, give it a 0 aura not visible to players. The GM can see it.

The idea of Twins is to keep two tokens in sync between two pages.  You'd use the Transmogrifier to copy your page out, rename the current, then copy it back in to get a duplicate, then link all the tokens with twins, except the ones that shouldn't be seen by the various factions.  Then you put one faction on the page with their vision and the other faction on the other page, and let the fun ensue.  You can use Al e's point about a clear token with a GM only aura on as the surrogate for faction only tokens so you can see where they are on the alternate page.

With the Aura settings on the Advanced tab of the token, you can configure it to allow the aura to be visible to the GM (just the GM), or the GM + the Player(s) who control that token, or to All Players.  The only downside I see for this solution is that you cannot configure the settings such that only SOME players who don't control the token can't see it yet others could. In other words you can make a token seem invisible with this, and it can be visible to 1 player or all players, and the limitation is "if you have another 1 enter the room, who has TrueSight or Detect Invisible" there isn't a way to let that person see the invisible token's aura unless you also let that person be a controller of the invisible token.
