LFP || D&D 5E - Weekly Wednesday, 3PM Central || Newish DM || Lite Rules

1477112513

Edited 1477112589
Important:  ((Newish Dungeon Master running D&D5E with a Homebrew Map and Homebrew Lore - Interested players fill free to apply using the listed Application format below.)) (Note 10/21) Leveling was made to be fairly slow in this game and the combat in general I like to describe as a Dark Souls-esque. We're working on making the world feel deadly and making sure that every encounter is a risk for the players, especially at low levels. As you increase in level, you'll become more Hero-Esque and as such, some foes may be easier than others. |||Description|||| Lortharia is a culture rich land with inspiration from the real world; such cultures include the Steppe Hordes, Byzantines, Ottomans, Venetians, Romans, Russians, Germans, Scandinavians, and more. Only a small percentage of the region is of 'civilized' lands, the rest is hardly explored if even slightly so. This is a region just on the edge of the Dark Ages. Lortharia is a region within a large, ancient world - where Elves have ruled the majority of the surface for hundreds of years acting as an Empire, ever so slowly expanding their borders year by year. Crossing through the Nuraj Desert the Elves have found their momentum coming to a standstill. Before the Elves lies a new Human Empire; where only a few decades ago they were but rag-tag Tribes battling over basic resources - One tribe came to power with the use of the fabled Dragonborn, and since then have ruled with an iron fist; eager to expand their borders and conquer the remaining tribes and beyond. || What lies beyond the civilized world? Beast, monsters, legends, rumors, and more. There are whispers of an Ancient Dwarven Kingdom that is no more, of mighty Horse Lords that when blessed by their Gods, turn into Horse-Men. But still, there is so much more to be discovered... ------------------------ Application ----------------------- Note: Posting 'Interested' will not get you anywhere. We're looking for patient folks that are not Rule-Lawyers and are more concerned about the over-arching storyline than the rules themselves. New or experienced players are welcome, we're fine if you've never played before as long as you're not rude and impatient. IMPORTANT : You -must- be willing to work with the DM or the Party to create a character. Having a general idea is fine, but in general there is much about the World that has absolutely nothing to do with the regular DnD Handbook information. It is vital that you work with myself, or the group to establish a realistic character for the world. You'll have free reign to create the character, more or less, we'll simply being acting as moderators to ensure you don't move into something that isn't in the world. So far the current party is: Half-Orc Barbarian, Halfling Rogue, Drow Warlock, Human Sorcerer. How long you've been roleplaying. -As far as TTRPG/VTTRPG goes, none, however I have done other RPG games with role playing such as WoW and many others. 3. How long you've been playing D&D Styled games. -Never have but they have always interested me and an eager to play. 4. Why are you interested in this game. -The description sounds really good and would love to be apart of the adventure. 5. How hectic is your schedule. Will you, as far as you know be able to make it to every Wednesday Game. -I am married with 3 kids, and currently unemployed so for the foreseeable future, I will be able to make the games. 6. For what reason do you play D&D, what do you enjoy from the game. I enjoy the freedom of RP that is involved I have always loved other RP games and wanted to get into DnD. 7. Are you willing to work with the group or DM to create a character fit for the world? - absolutely, i have no problem working out a character around what is needed they can always have tiny little tweaks to make it how you wish. 8. Shortly describe your character idea. If i was able to pick I would love to play a Paladin of sorts, I have always loved playing games being the guy in the front lines getting his teeth kicked in for the greater good, and seeing as how I am willing to work with the GM and group to make a character its hard to give a description of my character based on he might be something that is entirely unplanned. 9. What is half-swording. (Bonus) This I dont know, If it is what Wiki says it is, something about fencing with swords holding the blade in the middle. 10. One interesting fact about you. :D This is the stumper question, Im pretty plain cut nothing interesting going on. lol
