Name: Steven Gall Age: 26 Experience: I have been both DM and
player in 5e, 3.5, Pathfinder, Shadowrun, and GURPS. Of the systems I
have played, I enjoyed 5e the most. The rules get the job done without
being cluttered like 3.5, and leave a lot more room for role-playing. I
have been playing role-playing games like these since childhood. Characters:
I enjoy playing non-standard races, not for any sort of numerical
advantage, but because the adversity they bring lets both the DM and
myself create some social scenarios that would not be otherwise
possible, and interactions that would not otherwise occur. So far I have
played goblins, minotaurs, mind flayers, and warforged, among others,
and these scenarios have never failed to create roleplay opportunities. I
very much play my character as well; There are times where my character
will take a course of action that might not be totally beneficial to do
so, but thats what I will do, because its what my character would do. I
write backstories and get heavily invested in my characters, and I may
ask for world details so I can make my character's origin fit. I don't
do anything flashy, more often that not my characters have very regular
backstories, but giving them a place in the world also gives the DM
opportunities to tie those locations and people in with their story if
they like, enabling a richer and fuller world for them to use. I
have no hard schedule, and am available any day of the week. 5e is my
preferred system. If you need a player for a campaign who loves to
roleplay and interact with the world, send me a message or leave a
reply, because I'd love to play.
