Just wondering if anyone is interested in a game using a hombrew based on World of Dungeons / Dungeon World, on Thursdays sometime between 4:15 - 11 pm CDT. It would
be a weekly ongoing campaign. I would GM unless someone else really wanted to. As
for the setting I'm thinking something kind of like the dark tower
series in that it's far in the future after several apocalypses with
fantasy and sci-fi elements. So if you're not familiar with Steven King's Dark Tower series its basically a wonderful mishmash of genres. Its post apocalyptic, fantasy, sci-fi, western and horror - partially as a result of the interwoveness of several dimensions as reality decays. As for our game I don't intend to copy but I definitely intend a post-post apocalypse with magical elements woven in the world. So everythnig from swords and magic to ancient factories and mechs. Like a spellcaster would be a possible playbook. The playbooks would be heavily homebrewed according to your character concept. The campaign would be gritty but still have a heroic
feel to it. Parts would be Dark but not grim dark. The characters
wouldn't be the villains. Also I'd be looking for players who
aren't purely combat oriented and are interested in the
roleplay/character development aspect of the game. Players who like
spending most of the session in character. The homebrew will loot heavily from the Apocalypse world system for certain more modern moves. But combat will be more like Dungeon World in the sense that it will be a bit more in depth than Apocalypse world. Let me know if you're interested
