[5e SRD OGL Sheet] Total Weight doesn't change when an item is unequipped

I searched the forums on this, so apologies if it's been handled. I also checked the sheet wiki . When my players deselect Equipped on an item, it goes light grey as expected, but the Total Weight doesn't change. I'd expect the total weight to decrease based on the items being 'left' somewhere. Is this the purpose of the Equipped check box, or is there another purpose? Thanks!

It is functioning as intended, the equipment section is for everything you are carrying, having unequipped vs equipped is more for easily accessible vs in your pack. https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/3602544/5th-edition-ogl-by-roll20-v1-dot-6/?pageforid=4077195#post-4077195 That said, I would agree with you that it'd be nice to have a third state that is "not on person".

Ah. So "unequipped" can be defined as "on your person, but not in hand" (i.e., in your backpack, etc.) vs. "equipped" would be actually in hand / worn. Whether unequipped or equipped, you actually have it on your person. I guess a work around is, anything you currently aren't carrying, change the weight to "0" (of course, you'll have to look up the weight if you decided to "grab it again". Thanks Scott.

np, there's also the treasure free text section in the bio tab for stuff.

I was aware of that, but to delete from Equipment, move to Treasure, then to return it to Equipment seems like a lot of extra steps. I'd rather enter 0 into the weight, and then search the weight and re-add later :) .

Yep, that's my solution as well.
