Player initiated sound effects

Is there a script that allows a player (not the GM) to play sound effects?  I realize that the GM would need to search for these tracks and add them to the jukebox, but assuming this was setup in advance, is this possible?  I have tested a few scripts without much success using the "rejoin as player" option.

I've been meaning to write a comprehensive music playing script. How would you see player commands working?
Well as this is geared towards players being able to play or add sound effects into macros or other things the basic commands I would hope for the ability to play specific tracks or playlists, the ability to stop specific tracks or playlists, and the ability for the GM to stop all sounds. That would cover at least my basic use case.

Ok, would you want the ability to designate sounds as player accessible and/or gm only (probably through either saving to the state or a text tag)?
That would be an added benefit.  Generally my players are mature and wouldn't abuse it, but being able to enable and/or disable player sounds might be useful as well.
There is a similar script out there. I don't know if Scott wants the challenge, but if you want, I can try to find it for you.

I've been looking for a full featured sound command script, and all I've found so far are incomplete or very specific use-case ones - hence thinking about making one myself. If there is a fully developed one out there, that's a good place to start. I'm a big believer in not reinventing the wheel unless it's to add new features/capabilities.
I know of Matt's Music Control for Tokens and Aaron's playsound scriptlet .
Absolutely agree that would be amazing. I can picture myself spending a fair bit of time to find the right axe "swushh" sound etc. -- a fireball crackling... mhm... nice!

Well, I've started work on it in earnest. I wouldn't expect anything for a bit. I'm going to try and break my streak of releasing buggy code, so I fully intend to spend some time on this sucker. I'll keep you updated.

I've got an alpha version of the script up and running. If anyone is interested in testing it, PM me. It is reasonably stable, but is not totally feature full yet and may not be totally user-friendly (I need feedback on the command syntax and what not).
