Hello again! Looking to run another Pathfinder Society scenario this coming Wednesday at 9:30PM EDT. The tier for this scenario is 3-7, meaning you must have a PFS-legal character within that level range or play a pre-generated character (which can be provided, levels 4 or 7). We will be using the voice-chat functionality of Roll20, though people are welcome to 'type it out' in chat if you prefer. Roll20 PFS sessions are open to new and experienced players both! Let me know if there are any questions! 1. Kinsume (Barbarian 4/7) 2. Phnord (Inquisitor 4) 3. John (Something...pre-generated.) 4. Lex (Moar Inquisitor, Level 3?) 5. Suna (Druid/Rogue 3?, Wizard 6?) 6. Jeremiah (Something) Back-up 1. Zack Back-up 2. AJ
So how exactly does this work? Is it a one shot on that day/time or what?
Sign me up; Moftar's back again! Yes, Kinsume. PFS characters can gain experience and such, but each adventure is a new experience unrelated to previous ones. Rarely, a one-shot adventure like this will be continued a second week (if it takes too long, or we don't complete it for some reason) but generally, only those players who wish to will carry their characters along to the next week's game.
Sounds interesting, the time works for me so I'm up for giving it a shot. Might need a hand building the character though as I'm unfamiliar with what you mean by PFS-legal.
Well, the easiest and best way to get started (it's what I did, and what many other players do) is to ask for a pre-generated character for your first couple games. This takes all the guesswork and trouble out of the issue, and lets you get right into the game. The characters available are: Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Gunslinger, Monk, Ninja, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Samurai, Sorcerer, and Wizard. Each of these are available at various levels depending on the tier (level) at which the GM plans to run the game, in this case level 4. Pick one you like, Sean O. will set you up with a token, and you're good to go. Alternately, you can create your own character. Pathfinder is particularly good for this, as all the needed books are available online for free here: Pathfinder The only thing is that some races, classes, traits, materials, etc etc are considered too overpowered or unbalancing for the formalized playstyle known as Pathfinder Society. For this reason, they are simply not allowed in your character choice. Some information (I'm not claiming it's all, I'm kinda new to this myself) on these restrictions can be found here: PFS Restrictions If you wish to make (or import) your own character, post about it here and Sean will either tell you if its allowed or contact you to work out details. Hope to see you in the game!
Is there a place where I can see these pre-gened character's sheets and what not?
I'm pretty sure (99%) that this is they: Downloadable .zip file
I'll play again...pre-gen Barbarian maybe...depending on party needs.
I would like to join :)
Wizard or Druid/Rouge, depending on the tier
I'd be interested in giving the pre-gen'd barbarian a go.
Here is the link for the session this evening: https://app.roll20.net/join/236103/6-7qbw If you plan on participating in the scenario, please try to log into the campaign prior to 9:30PM EDT, as this will make it easier for me to assign tokens. There are also still spots available for this evening, if you are interested please post below! Roll20 PFS sessions are open to experienced and new players both!
I'd like to try this out tonight. I've never played a Pathfinder Society session so it should be fun. As for a character, I do have a lvl 4 Druid already made but I'm not sure if he makes the Rule Set here. Just a simple non-min/max gnome druid. http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=... I could always play a pre-generated character to keep things simple. I'm up for whatever.
Zack, for PFS play you have to start off with a level 1 character and then gain experience by completing scenarios to level up your character. If this is your first time playing PFS, you would have to play a pre-gen (though you would be able to apply the credit from this game to a character of PFS play). Ironically enough, one of the pre-gens is a gnome druid, if you would like a little continuity for your character.
Hmmm... yeah I've been looking at the pre-gen characters and I saw that gnome druid. But I think I'm just going to wait to see if I can play my druid later so I'll roll a different class for now. What is needed? Do we need a well-rounded group to complete the session?
You should play whichever class you feel would be entertaining/enjoyable for you. Most of the players currently are still deciding amongst pre-gens and multiple characters they have, so it is really up to you at this point. Is a well-rounded group necessary? I would say that depends on player creativity ;)

Alright, I'd like to play the pre-gen wizard if that's ok. And do I have to use the spells listed or can I swap a few out? Edit: If someone is already the pre-gen wizard I'll use the bard.
