GM LFG Hunter: The Vigil (Sunday-Thursday Evening GMT Timeslot)

Hey all, I've been looking to run a Hunter: The Vigil game forever. I have a few ideas for plot seeds however because Hunter has a REALLY big range of the types of campaigns that could be run I'd be very interested in what potential players would be looking for and see if I can craft something to match your gaming appetite. I've got PDF copies of (basically) all the related books. I'd be looking for the group to meet over Skype or preferably Google Hangout so I can record and post the sessions, so a mic is good, a mic with a webcam is better. It would likely be sometime once a week in the evening between Sunday and Thursday. Start-timewise I'd say anytime between 5-10PM GMT is all right. Don't really want to start any later since we all have mornings to wake up for and you know the average session takes about 2-4 hours. So, how about it?

My girlfriend and I are interested. She knows a little more than myself about Hunter: The vigil, but I'm pretty much in the dark on the setting. Neither of us have played, so we'd be novices. Can you tell us more about Hunter the Vigil? Also, of the available times, Sunday is basically the only day we'd be available to play. We both had good headsets, but aren't interested in using webcams.

Ah well this would be my first game too! I've played a bunch of other World of Darkness games so its all pretty similar. Basically in Hunter you are monster hunters. When bad things or creepy things or just plain weird things happen, you go out and investigate. The reason why I kept it so vague was that there are several different types of group people can belong to and that DRASTICALLY changes the type of campaign. In brief the ones I'd likely want to have a go at are...(thank you wikipedia for the cut n paste) The Loyalists of Thule - Occultists who seek knowledge of the supernatural in places few others dare to tread. (hunt for the knowledge) The Union - Working-class hunters who trace their heritage back to the labor movements of the 20th century.(hunt to protect their neghbourhood) The Cheiron Group - A group of corporations who have involved themselves in the supernatural, bringing considerable wealth and power with them. (hunt to harvest components for corporate use) The Lucifuge - Descendants of a fallen angel who seek redemption through the destruction of true evil. (Hunt for redemption) Malleus Maleficarum - A conspiracy in the Catholic Church active since the Middle Ages. (hunt for the church) Task Force: VALKYRIE - A covert government group who recruit members from all branches of the military.(hunt to keep the world safe) The Vanguard Serial Crimes Unit commonly abbreviated to VASCU , is a conspiracy of hunters who actively work within the FBI. They have jurisdiction over all crimes that involve serial and mass killings, and also boast an advantage other branches of the bureau do not have: all of their agents are naturally gifted psychics. (hunt to get killers off the streets)

I'm interested to play. Always wanted to take part in a game of Hunter, but all I got was Vampire. I can understand why you did not include Ashwood Abbey (why are just weird, and are no less monster than the ones they hunt), or some others... but why didn't you include Aegis Kai Doru? They are interesting. If it was my pick, I'd go with Thule, Lucifuge or Aegis.

I wouldn't mind another Hunter game on board. Very interested in the concepts of the Hunt and Vigil, and would accept any given story (if that is what you asking, though I can say do not limit yourself to the modern times only; there is some charm in the History of the Hunt). Skyping (though no webcam either) and times are fine with me; currently busy on Tuesdays and Fridays.

dude this sounds amazing been looking to play Hunter since Reckoning but no one ever played it got stuck playing everything else got a one of game of project twilight once which was pretty cool. Mic and cam are no issue and I'm on GMT myself. Drop me a pm if you want to discuss details
