[LFP] D&D 5e Sunday 20:00 EST

Ian here, due to the sudden loss of two players, I am seeking a player or two to join an ongoing campaign! I run an intricate world filled with strange and wonderful (or terrifying) things, all of which are stated and can be killed or befriended! Social:Combat ratios from session to session, depending on where the group is and what they intend to do (last session had no combat at all, but next session will include a boss fight or two ). I value player enjoyment and creativity greatly, so play as you wish to (within reason). The party currently consists of a Champion Fighter, an Evocation Wizard, and a Necromancer Wizard. For your character, all WotC material is approved, including Unearthed Arcana (yes, even the new Barbarian paths!), and Homebrew is allowed, so long as I approve of it (I approve of almost everything, though don't show me something obviously overpowered). Your character would start at level 3, the party's current level, though do note that I level players somewhat quickly. I care deeply about making interesting stories, so if you have an awesome character concept in mind, I'd be willing to work it into the story (and be willing for a bit of compromise, since I can't have legendary heroes at level 3)! If you are interested in joining, please PM me right away or post here! I'd love to see what you have in store for me!
Hello, I am interested in joining, though I do have a couple of questions. Do you use any voice communication software, and how long do sessions usually last? Assuming it doesn't last longer than 7 hours, I'd want to play a Way of Shadow Monk. I've been playing role playing games off and on for about 10 years now, mostly as a DM, though I haven't played 5e yet.
Good question! We generally use Skype for our games, since roll20 seems to be unreliable at times. Sessions generally last for approximately 3-5 hours, though I generally end the session when the players want to (one player having to leave is usually a good stopping time).
Hey, I'd be interested, I have a lot of experience with 5e and this sounds like a great campaign. I heavily value player choice and creativity as well as off-the-rails stuff. As for what I'd want to play, I can fall back on my standby (Gold Chaotic Good Dragonborn Fighter) or my more ambitious (Gold Chaotic Good Half-Dragon Fighter). I can work with you to balance the latter, it's gone through multiple variations in 3.5 and pathfinder, and I think the current form is pretty powerful, but I can scale it down (I like underplaying powerful characters anyway). Thanks.
Hi, just wondering if you're still accepting new players, I'm still interested.
If you're still looking for a player I'm in need of a group for Sunday's. I've been playing tabletop games for over 2 years now. I've played multiple versions of d&d including 5e. Character wise i can play any role the party needs.
Heya, I represent myself and a friend who've been looking for a game lately. We both really enjoy the roleplaying and storytelling aspect of DnD, but that's not to say we don't enjoy combat. We're both constantly kicking around character ideas, but lately we've been liking the idea of a half-orc ranger (him) and myself playing a "worg" monk (or perhaps a barbarian if we could come up with a way to balance my inability to use a two-hander), using the goliath or half-orc racial stats. Not looking to break your game though, so if the worg idea doesn't work I've got plenty of other ideas to choose from. Between us we've got a good bit of experience playing and DMing various editions of DnD and other tabletop games. We both like a relatively serious campaign, but also get a good laugh out of the occasional silly moments that inevitably occur. My only curious question would be what kind of alignments your players are running and what kind of campaign tone and atmosphere you've got right now. After all, we'd like characters that fit in well and it might be jarring if we brought grimdark characters to your lighthearted fantasy game! I know it's a bit last minute before tomorrow night, but we could be ready to play by then easily. Let me know if you've got any questions or clarifications for us!
Hello, I am interested in joining your game this Sunday coming up. I have a couple characters I can play. 1. Character idea: Grok Foebleeder CG Half-orc War Cleric of Tempus – I can change his god or locations if it's not in FR. Grok is a product of his mother being raped during a raid of Daggerford village outside of Waterdeep. When he was born his mother didn’t want a half breed, so she took him to the local shrine to Tempus and left him there. One of the priest found him and took him in as an acolyte. He was taken to Waterdeep to serve in the grand temple to Tempus there. He grew up in the temple until he started having nightmares of old gods being resurrected and the end of times. He was branded a heretic and cast out of the temple. He is convinced that Tempus has a plan for him and see omens and signs in everything. He seeks to prove himself worthy of Tempus. He also wants revenge on the cleric that branded him a heretic. 2. Savaran Spiritwind Halfling (Stout) Ranger CG Outlander Savaran grew up in a small village. It was attacked by hill giants when he was a small boy. His mother hid him in the cellar during the attack. He stayed there for two days before finally coming out to find the whole village slaughtered. Having no family, he set off into the woods. He stayed there studying the forest and the hill giants. He has always had nightmares of the attack, but lately his nightmares have changed. He is now tormented with nightmares of old gods returning and the world ending. He has left the comfort of the forest in search of answers and companions to help in his quest of finding out about these gods. And maybe helping him eradicate the tribe of hill giants he so hates.
