Newbie to D&D from UK looking for Fun

I am looking for a game, Voice preferred as typing not to good. I have not played in 25 - 30 years so can't remember the rules, god can't remember how to create a character  :), Treat me with kid gloves........

I have nothing anymore :( Creag not even heard of the Phandelver campaign, the idea behind this is to stop me playing wow online with the X so often so any idea's welcome, I have just got the PDF of Phandelver, looks like a good place to restart. If you think we can get a group together I am willing to give it a go. Will need a DM unless you fancy it, I used to do homebrew mixed with created ones as a DM but not sure i want to DM again although it is fun being nasty :). Let me know what you think and will we hand roll dice or use roll 20 for it.

Would be best to post the GMT times/days you would be available to play.  That way any potential GM can see if they are free then.  Also check the games listed in "find a group".

I am free after 7:30 most nights, but Friday Or Saturday would be best just incase of over run

Hey, I'm a newbie to D&D as well and would love to join a newbie campaign. Only ever had two incomplete campaigns that lasted just a couple sessions before falling apart bc others couldn't commit. I played a Factotum and would love to actually play that character, but have no problem creating a new character. I think we used 3.5 edition, but since I only have recollection of the fundamentals I think that would mean I'd have a good base to learn new rules or mechanics. I'm in France at the moment, but would be able to continue after I return to the US after my study abroad. I really want to actually do a real D&D campaign. So maybe if you guys'll have me? I could do Friday and would prefer Saturday when I get back to the US.

Christa &nbsp;the new rules are free in the d&d main site as a pdf along with some pretty made characters&nbsp; 5th ed is a much more simplified version and more user friendly. I'vI've not come across a factotum? Are they from one of the supplements?

Sometime's I have a boy's night out at the cinema with 2 guy's from work (Man Date) Fridays but not a regular thing with me so a Non School Night :) would be good, also it would give the local women a rest from my prowling :)... &nbsp;Have a look at the site I listed easy peasy If An IT Man Can Do It Anyone Can LOL. Basically I like playing rogue or ranger characters, but since other people had taken that class I needed a different one. The GM and another player, both my good friends, pointed me towards the Factotum class. It's a really interesting jack of all trades master of none class. I tend to always play back up in groups especially with games I'm not 100% confident in my knowledge

Yeah that time works great. The UK is just 1 hour behind so it'd be 20:30 here and no problem. Once I get back home for winter break and after it'd be at 2:30pm so that's why Saturdays would be best for long term.

Alright after a cursory search if we are doing 5e, which it seems that's the sway, there is no official Factotum revision. Therefore I think I would like to create a Rogue character and will start creating it as best I can.

Is there any plan to handle the voice chat? I would recommend Discord, although I think roll20 has an inbuilt one but I'm very new to the site.

Roll20 has a built in one i have watched them via you tu8be seems OK

Hey there, this might sound weird at first but listen to my offer: I try to gather a group for a RPG game that i have made myself. The setting as well as character creation is very flexible ranging from Sci-Fi to Fantasay. I'm german though i'd speak english for that undertaking anyways. So if you are interested hit me up and i fill you in with all the details. But what i can tell you right away: What this game has to offer: - Exceptional character design and freedom in creation - Highly customizable characters - Easy on-the-fly balancings - Unique Roll System - Unique approach of skills, powers, spells and abilites - Fair Play - Challenging Fights - Desicions that matter Anything and Everything is possible and welcomed. Wanted to play a flying slime with a lasergun? Well, you can here. It is... not fitting into the story propably but you can create whatever you imagine. I highly encourage experimental attempts and something out of the ordenary. Try to create a character and create a story for him to determine what he should be able to do. Last words I dont expect you to be able to get the full picture by this but maybe just get you interested in a new concept. This is aimed for new players as well and i'd be curious how you'd find it. Anways, sorry for the longer text, but it will be worth your while Edit: I want to let you know, if you have never played DnD or something like that: What im offering you is a game just like that only with some different things. Its intuitive and i'd love to show it to you. It also teaches you all the basics you need to know how RPG Pen and Paper games work :)

Pathfinder group have completed 4 sessions of mixed role play and combat adventures. Characters have just reached 4th level. Looking for couple of players to join current party (Tengu and Trox), party has plenty of strength and raw combat skills, would welcome summoner, or casters of ny kind.
