Is it possible to alert party you rolled without revealing result

This is an entirely new group of players and one of the primary lessons I want to teach is that every time the dm rolls the dice (like actual tabletop d&d) doesn't necessarily mean something is going to happen or something is going on.  I'd like to know if there is a way to do a /gmroll where I can see the result, and the rest of the party sees something along the lines of GM rolled 1d20 .  I'd rather not say it verbally and break the flow of conversation or otherwise. Thanks in advance!
I made a set of macros to do this (/dmAlert20) and so on, but if there is a command to do this i'm still interested. Macro /dmRolls, and then just posts that the dm rolled a dice. nothing fancy.

You could just create a macro that contains /desc The GM rolled 1d20 /w gm [[1d20]]

I use this, lets me make fake rolls for terror purposes or real rolls depending on circumstance: /em The DM makes a roll behind his screen. /gmroll ?{how many?|0}d?{what die|6}
Good stuff! I really appreciate it.  I just modified Ziechael's macro with... /em The DM makes a roll. /gmroll ?{how many?|1}d?{what die|20} just to make it a little quicker and take up one line in the default spacing. Again thank you!

Here's my version. I roll a bunch of dice, right off the bat, and only pay attention to whichever rolls I need at the time. /desc You hear the DM rolling dice. /gmroll 5d20 /w gm d4: [[d4]], d6: [[d6]], [[d6]], d8: [[d8]], [[d8]] /w gm d100: [[d100]]%, [[d100]]%, [[d100]]%
Here's my version (again very similar to others) I just like to have all dice rolled at once with multiple of each so that I only need the one macro to get most of the results I'd ever need: Note: This macro uses the 5e-shaped sheet, if you'd like to use it anywhere switch "5e-shaped" with "default" /desc The GM rolls his bag of dice. /w gm &{template:5e-shaped} {{name=Dice }} {{d4:= [[ 1d4 ]] | [[ 2d4 ]] | [[ 3d4 ]] | [[ 4d4 ]] }} {{d6:= [[ 1d6 ]] | [[ 2d6 ]] | [[ 3d6 ]] | [[ 4d6 ]] }} {{d8:= [[ 1d8 ]] | [[ 2d8 ]] | [[ 3d8 ]] | [[ 4d8 ]] }} {{d10:= [[ 1d10 ]] | [[ 2d10 ]] | [[ 3d10 ]] | [[ 4d10 ]] }} {{d12:= [[ 1d12 ]] | [[ 2d12 ]] | [[ 3d12 ]] | [[ 4d12 ]] }} {{d20:= [[ 1d20 ]] | [[ 2d20 ]] | [[ 3d20 ]] | [[ 4d20 ]] }} {{d100:= [[ 1d100 ]] | [[ 2d100 ]] | [[ 3d100 ]] | [[ 4d100 ]] }}

I prefer this option: /desc The GM is rolling dice, the result of which has nothing to do with you, and certainly not be involved in the destruction of your characters. /gmroll foo

You can even randomize the threat line, using Rollable Table. /desc The DM is [[1t[DMis]]]
