Disclaimer: This is my own game called "Shard Storm". Currently it is set for thursday evening but we can communicate about other dates and times, too :) Direct link to the " Find a group " forum for character ideas and applications <a href="https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/62126/shard-storm" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/62126/shard-storm</a> *New people as well as experienced are welcomed! Feedback is welcomed!* Hello and welcome. This games ruleset is developed and created by my own. It is intuitive and quick to understand. I want to run this as a oneshot experiment for now but im open for more rounds. The setting and lore is based around a fantasy but also sci-fy one. Im doing the GM/DM (whatever you prefer to call it) and will orientate around sort of 60% Combat and 40% RP. If you like more of one categorie, there is always room for more. You design and shape the characters around you and i will adapt to your desires. This game is based on the idea of the Warhammer 40k ruleset but takes a lot of different steps to make things feel more relevant and reliant than the traditional approach of face rolling dungeons. What this game has to offer Exceptional character design and freedom with your creation Unique rolling system Unique approach of skills, powers, spells and abilites Fair play Challenging fights Decisions that matter Everything! Anything and Everything is possible and welcomed. Wanted to play a flying slime with a lasergun? Well, you can here. It is... not fitting into the story propably but you can create whatever you imagine. I highly encourage experimental attempts and something out of the ordenary. Try to create a character and create a story for him to determine what he should be able to do. The concept of rolling dices is basically 99% a 1d100, so things are kept simple. There is a twist to most rolls though which i will not spoil from the beginning. Applications and More If you'd like to join: Currently i am waiting for 2-4 Players . Im looking for serious applications and not ditch the project minutes before start when you realize that you dont want to part take on an experimental run. But my previous results have been astounding so you are in for a awesome ride! When you apply, feel free to write down a simple character sheet that describes what he/she/it is and what they are supposed to be able to do. Im talking most of the times of active abilities such as spells and stuff. Before the game starts I want you to feel into your character and try to act in character, too! It makes the game a lot more worthwhile than hunting for loot. Trust me. You will start on a medium level, that is 10 or 15 1 Level equals to 10 "Learning Points" Abilities, Skills and Spells cost LP (Learning Points) These things catagorize in "Tiers" ranging from T1 - T4 A Tier set will grant you passive Attribut points and make you stronger More skills, abilites and Spells = More attributes = Stronger You cannot buy attributes. Only things named above. This is just a small insight on how things will work. Last things you need to know Examples i give right now are only small excerpts. They do not stand representive for the entirety of my game. All spells and special abilities are based on "Shards". These mystical shards act as an unlockable to enable you to use spells. Example: Skill - Shard: FIRE You are able to create a small flame in your hand and also light stuff. Spell: Fireball Shards: FIRE Range: 10meters Damage: Shardpower (attribute) + *Burn* Cost: 7 Type: Cast Description: You throw a ball of flames at a target. Upon impact it deals SP (shard power) damage and may *Burn* the traget if it fails its body resistance test against the given damage. This simple prime example of an spell is supposed to show you that you can change any aspect of it and create your own thing. Replace the shard FIRE with, ICE , COLD , WATER , ELECTRICITY , and maybe even something completely different like CHAOS , DEATH , LIFE , HOLY or ROBOTIC or whatever that comes into your mind. What will help distinguish what the spell or ability will finally be is the nature of it. If you cant quite pin point it, just describe what your character shall be supposed to do and i will help and guide you through. I will give you examples and try to create your imagination into a solid spell.
