11/19 session cancelled

Hey guys! I am having a houseguest of the wink wink nudge nudge variety this weekend, so I will have to leave y'all in suspense for one more week. See you guys on the 26th!

Suspense and anticipation experience points? (this is a sneaky smile gif, but since uploading gifs on here hates me you need to click it) Only because I'm that excited that we're so close to level 5
Yeah, you're right. Everyone advance to level 5! You now have the required experience +200. Yes, I'm serious. :D
Aww, man! I was so disappointed to see this week's session canceled. Especially after leaving us with that cliffhanger! >w< But now I'm all excited about getting to level 5! xD And I have more than a week to decide: Fear or Hunger of Hadar...

You just had to use scary face Willem Dafoe... That's a tough choice, 30ft cone of scaring the ever loving shit out of people. Or 20ft radius (40ft Diameter) sphere of tentacles, creepy whispers, cold, and darkness. Now that I checked into the Warlock tree for level 5 you get some badass stuff, new spell, new spell slot level, plus even your Eldritch Blast doubles... damn... and here I was just being excited about Extra Attack, while you increased like everything... lol
RJ M. said: You just had to use scary face Willem Dafoe... Is there another Willem Dafoe? I'm sorry about canceling, you guys -- I'm really looking forward to our next session too. But it's for someone really special, so I gotta make the call. I promise an awesome session next Saturday to make it up to you!
LEVEL FIVE AW YISSSSSSSSSSS SPIRIT GUARDIANS COME TO ME! ALSO REVIVIFY! And, no worries! RL comes first, especially for special someones. :)
So with Revivify we won't have to worry much about using that scroll anymore right? I mean we can still hang on to it, in case we are in a jam, and you're out of Spell Slots, but they do the same thing?

RL's gotta come firsrt. Hope you have fun with your super special guest! ;D

So Naeris, have you decided between Fear and Hunger of Hadar yet? Also, Sigrun, what's Spirit Guardians?

Spirit Guardians!  Casting time: 1 action Range: Self Concentration: up to 10 minutes You call forth spirits to protect you. They flit around you to a distance of 15 feet for the duration. If you are good or neutral, their spectral form appears angelic or fey (your choice). If you are evil, they appear fiendish. When you cast this spell, you can designate any number of creatures you can see to be unaffected by it. An affected creature's speed is halved in the area, and when the creature enters the area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, it must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 3d8 radiant damage (if you are good or neutral) or 3d8 necrotic damage (if you are evil). On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 3rd.
