Single Field Stat Toggle

(As always, thank you for reading. The below is personal opinion only and does not represent the opinions of others) SUGGESTION: A toggle button next to stats to change them from a ratio to a percentage, or to a single stat (i.e. IQ, or Engineering)
I'm not really picking up what you're laying down here... could you clarify a bit please? :) The button would change an Attribute to a ratio of what? To a percentage of what?
Right now, an attribute/stat (which can be used in a formula or roll) is displayed as an X/X ratio. I would like a toggle added to a stat which would all it to be: ENCHANTING: 12 instead of: ENCHANTING 12/12 I am aware that you can leave it blank, but that's inefficient, and it confuses my players. In the end, I should be able to have a character sheet with varied stats: ENGINEERING: 12 CHANCE TO HIT: 20% HP: 19/20 Each of these things should be able to be added to formulas in rolls and have a different effect. Heck, they should be movable in their order on the sheets, and Color Codable. Ideally, I would be able to assign these stats an icon, and associate them with a template. So that when I have a Tank Archetype, I can simply pull the template down on the character sheet and have it copy these.
Thank you for clarifying it for me. :) Honestly, I think that this would add an unneeded level of complexity. Now, if you could toggle it to display a percentage which represented the difference between the actual Attribute and the maximum Attribute, then I would be inclined to agree with that suggestion.
Complexity as an option is never un-needed. I suggest it BECAUSE we need it. Table Tops are based on two base mechanics, Mathematics, and Customisabilty to the player's needs. Not every game is Core D20. When playing a system with user variables, calculations can get very convoluted. One of the benefits of ROLL20, and the reason I pay for it, is the automation of some of the 'Game Slowing' elements of D20. (Such as spending an hour arguing the proper way to calculate the math). I want it all templated for my players, so they don't need to think about it. And that requires that I be able to have stats display and calculate according to their needs. Which, right now, it doesn't. But I can respect your desire for simplicity. I believe that there will come a time when ROLL20 DMs are required to load 'Modules' into their campaign, such as 'Advanced Math', 'Advanced Profile Controls' etc. Assuming that the Developers are headed toward a system which can handle the creation and execution of any Table Top math system, the advanced features will get very complicated.

Roll20 is based on simplicity and not complexity. All new features will be weighed against this. Some example questions that might be asked for any new feature: Would you have this at the Face to Face (F2F) tabletop? If no, do you need it to help mimic the F2F tabletop? If no, do you need it to make up for the difference between F2F and VTT? If no, are there other ways to do it currently in place? If the answers to all the questions are no and the final question is a yes, the answer will probably be that it is not needed. Of course, I am not a developer and so this is just my opinion. :) - Gauss
