Calling for intrepid profiteers, do-gooders, and arcanists! I'll run an online campaign on a weeknight (preferably Thursdays) for anyone who plays nice with others and wants to partake in some Tolkien/Martin-style adventure. Party size will be capped at five to ensure that everyone gets a good share of spotlight.
The campaign theme is gritty fantasy, like Game of Thrones, with some Lord of the Rings thrown in to spice up our imaginations. Magic use is secret or outlawed, monsters (if they still exist) have learned to avoid civilization, and going toe-to-toe with a giant (8+ feet tall) is a good way to earn a visit with a barber or an undertaker.
We'll use Modos Roleplaying Game, a free, rules-light game that I'm playtesting. It does a good job of freeing players up from referencing books and counting grid squares, so it's very online-friendly. I'll get interested parties a link to the rules and we'll run a practice session (or in-game tutorial) before things get serious.
