Recent issues with chat... moved to discord :(

yesterday evening we unofrtunately had to switch to discord while playing because the chat started behaving strangely. 2 of the players could hear me while another couldn't. This same player on the other hand could hear the other 2 talking. This issue reoccurred with different people without any clear "recurrency" that we could understand. Moreover i could whisper to one of the player only, and not the others. Is this something other people encountered? we tried to restart the server but with similar result. What should we do in these cases?
Hi folks - Similar circumstance for my group yesterday evening.  We were using the beta webRTC, but the GM ostensibly switched to OpenTok to see if that would fix things and it didn't (I say 'ostensibly' because the GM is new to Roll20 GMing and might not have quite done it properly, but I imagine that he did).   So I had the worst of it ... I would log in to our game and 1-3 of the five others' video feeds would be black (not stills, actually black) and there would be no audio from them.  I'd see/hear the remaining AV feeds just fine.  Log out/in and a different set of feeds would be black to me.  Sometimes they would be crowned with a message saying something like "failed to connect".  I logged out/in roughly five times until all five feeds worked, then they worked just fine for quite a while.  Occasionally one would spontaneously drop out to black and I'd have to log out/in ~5 times until all five happened to work.   Some others in my game saw me as a blackbox (off and on), but for others my AV feed worked fine all the time.  So it wasn't fully symmetric per-connection.  Apparently it was rare for the others to see someone who wasn't me as a black box, so it was somehow associated with me.  It doesn't seem to have been strictly bandwidth, though, as my UL/DL speeds (speedtest.net) were fine.   Our audio experience followed the blackbox and was similar to what Gabriele describes.    I was using Chrome Version 54.0.2840.99 m ... up to date. If/when it happens again, I can capture whatever information might be helpful to you (devs) if you tell me what you would need. cheers Thom
Good to hear that at least it was not our problem only. I ran the chat via firefox but shouldn't be the problem.  I will try in chrome next time. Is there any troubleshoot we could try in case we encounter the problem again? Any help would be appreciated cheers

Tacking this in here now that we've made an official Bug Report forum thread for the Roll20 WebRTC now that OpenTok has been removed from the platform. New updates and feedback should continue on in that master thread to keep everything all in one place as we continue to make improvements based on your feedback.
