Inexperience DM LFPlayers for Pathfinder-Homebrew Setting Campaign. (Experience 5-6/10)

Updated 10/31 - 1:55 PM Will be adding more information to this thread since it is kind of late here already . I am a fairly new DM. Been playing DND since 3-4 years ago but only very casually. Started DMing in 2012 but only with close friends. We just recently finished a campaign and we would like to start one with more people. Prefers players with not as much experience because I am not confident in my DMing skills so I might have holes in plot, or some things might just not make sense. But, if experience wants to join just know going in that compared to all the DMs you have had I probably suck ass. Availability : We would like to play as much as possible. Our timezone is mostly PST(Pacific Standard Time). As long as 3-4 people sign up for a campaign and I am not raiding during those times I will most likely be willing to host the session. Looking for around 4-6 players. Each Session prefer to have 3-4 players not including myself. If things go well I will most likely be switching to Mentor access and try to learn more about mapmaking and api. I'd be up for it, though I am at UTC+0/ GMT so the timezones might be a bit dodge. As above, some details on char creation would be appreciated: are we going point-buy? Rolling HP? Any forbidden classes/ races? Thanks.

This sounds like the perfect group for me. I live in the same time zone and since I'm brand new to the game (I'm working my way through the core rulebook), I don't have any experience with previous GMs to compare you to. I'll fill out the character sheet when I get home from work tonight.

Regarding timezone and schedule issues I will try to work out a schedule base on PST(California Time) and when people want to play. Also for people interested and that are completely new to the game, try to read the basic in the core players handbook. If you don't understand something I will explain it but at least have general understanding.

Hi, I'm not sure how many players you're still looking for but me and my 3 friends have been looking for a DM (I'm also not sure how you want to do groups for sessions but I'll leave if you're interested up to you). We don't have all that much experience, we've mostly just messed around with one of us DMing in 3.5 the last few months so we have little experience rollplaying but know the basic rules (We're also easily impressed by story since we haven't really had one). All of us use skype and can use mumble, one of us doesn't use a microphone because it's incredibly bad quality but if you'd prefer to have everything spoken not typed then I'm sure I can convince him to just buy a cheap mic that works.

32 point buy? Can I willingly keep my stats lower? No offense to your idea, but characters who are good at everything are not as fun to play :(. I'm not sure if we can see other characters (might not have looked hard enough) so making sure that there are few conflicts is going to be a bit tricky for some.

Yeah, well i was hoping for inexperience players so they aren't min/maxing just giving them stats incase of bad rolls. Since depending on how strong the team becomes i might give mobs a few buffs to match the strength. The campaign will revolve around of all the players being in a guild/clan together and they accept quest/missions through that. We are going to be COMBAT HEAVY unless everyone hates combat when we start.

Like I mentioned before if you are expecting amazing plot/story as a experience person I am the wrong DM for you. So far, the only character I receieved was from Jessa and the character seems okay. I'd like to join depending on what times ended up being worked out. I'm somewhat new to pathfinder(and DnD in general) but I understand the basics and have gone over most all the rules at least once. The only question I have is how the stats work exactly. I dont quite understand what you mean by starting at 8. Other then that it sounds interesting and I would love to join in.

Hello, I am with Thomas G., and John R., in the aforementioned party. I'm incredibly flexible on times, as long as I'm warned in advance, and have no issues with your suggested bits and baubles. Character Sheet Do I need a backstory? It's not an issue if I do, as I can easily make one up on the fly, I'm just not sure it's even relevant to have one, considering we're foregoing the standard formalities of most parties in the first place.

Okay for Thomas, John, Fluffums, I need to see if I can work something out for you guys I might just run one campaign with multiple quest/missions going on so you guys can play together. So far theres 2-4 players already. I don't really want to run all 6 -7 people at once so I might spread out the times. I will message you guys or update this thread with who is in what party and it will depend on how much time I have to prep for everyone. Also, regarding backstory. It is up to you guys if you guys have one I will most likely have plot/quest that is related to your story.

No one is set in stone until after the schedule sheet is completely filled out and I plan when it is probably most convienet for me to host sessions.

Not wanting to play, personally (I'm involved in too many games as is :P ) but I saw this on the main forums page and got curious. Anyway, I just wanted to drop in and recommend this site for character sheets. It's a bit easier to understand than a spreadsheet. The only flaw it has is that wearing armor derps the calculation on the Dexterity bonus to AC, so you have to go re-add that manually. Still, easier for newbies, I think, which is what you're looking for. it works for me if put "4" instead of "+4" in the Max Dex field

I would like to note on the schedule, that I have a constantly changing schedule, but it is fair to say that I am most likely free any time when called upon, unless otherwise stated in advance.

yeah sorry, was setting up windows 8 upgrade and then it corrupted my other harddrives somehow and lost all my maps, text,story,like 30+ npc. Trying to do a recovery right now to see what i can savage and working on remaking the npcs and such now.
