Bringing the 90's back to you -> Buffy the Vampire Slayer RPG Needs Players (Date and Time still to be defined)

Once upon a time, a long long time ago, at 1990's, there was a myth. Women never would be the heroines at action or terror stories. They alway were fated to be victims and scream like there was no future untill a nice gentleman called Joss Weadon came and asked... What if the girl were the one who really kicked the asses of the monsters? So Buffy the Vampire Slayer was born. Buffy, the movie gave the birth to Buffy the tv show which was the first time Joss used all his powers to the good (different than today which he is using his powers to the Mouse). The story was about the girls who was fated to be the world saviors. The prophecy about them were pretty clear and it told "Into every generation, there is a chosen one. One girl in all the world. She alone will wield the strength and skill to stand against the vampires, the demons, and the forces of darkness; To stop the spread of their evil and the swell of their numbers. She is the Slayer. But something happened and the slayer died and returned to life, creating a singular condition which 2 slayers were active at same time. And thanks to that the world went crazier than the usual. And a cosmic energy called the key was materialized at the form of a girl and she created ties with Buffy Summers, the slayer who should be dead. But that is vague, Buffy died, the other slayer, Faith also died, the key was breached and a hell goddess used the energy to return to her previous realm. But the world didn't ended, just changed. It became cleaner, nicer and neat. And since the dawn of the times 2 girls were fated to save the world. One of them pure at her heart and shining as the sun, other wicked at her essence, but both working for the same purpose. Keep the night out of the day and end the primordial evil present over the world. Now following the nice tradition set by Joss Weadon I bring to you: Into the Key, a story about 2 girls who felt the call to be the slayer Cast Requirement (minimum number of players 1, maximum number of players 6) Slayer 1: Female between her 15 and 17, the pure and virtuos one Slayer 2: Female between her 15 and 17, the wicked and rebel one Best Friend 1: he or she must be a person relatively normal, the key word about the person is relatively, because normal people at Buffyverse become witches, develop mental powers or simply know how to kick asses using holy magical weapons from faceless demons, Some of them are even heroes on their own way. Best Friend 2: he or she must be a person relatively normal, the key word about the person is relatively, because normal people at Buffyverse become witches, develop mental powers or simply know how to kick asses using holy magical weapons from faceless demons. Some of them are even heroes on their own way. Best Friend 3: he or she must be a person relatively normal, the key word about the person is relatively, because normal people at Buffyverse become witches, develop mental powers or simply know how to kick asses using holy magical weapons from faceless demons. Some of them are even heroes on their own way. The Watcher: You are the adult of the team it means you are the dull guy who make the slayers do their part, train them, teach them how to recognize the difference between the demons and ugly people and sometimes you are there to be the father or mother figure for them. After all you are the single adult who knows their secrets.
What system?
Matt W. said: What system? We can use the official Buffy the Vampire Slayer system, from Eden Studios or we can take another direction and use Fate Core
Oh My Gosh! I would absolutely LOVE this. Big fan of Buffy. :) I have not played either system before, but I have basic knowledge of DnD and Pathfinder. And I learn quick. I am in Australia, but I have a flexible time schedule so most time zones work for me. Oh and I would totally cool to play any of those characters. :) PLease let me know if you have any spots left or how I go about applying for one :) Thanks! -Shay
Oh, man, I must email this to my buddy. He's got the books, he's been itching to play, and he's been a Whedon fan since forever...you might just have two folks here depending on the schedule and such...

I love Buffy too, and it is time to bring some Slayerage to Roll20! >I have not played either system before, but I have basic knowledge of DnD and Pathfinder. >And I learn quick. Both systems I proposed are simple. So you are going to master it like a pro pretty fast >I am in Australia, but I have a flexible time schedule so most time zones work for me. >Oh and I would totally cool to play any of those characters. :) No problem. Well, consider this like a Buffy AU game, the breaking point happens at Season 5. Buffy dies to save Dawn, but Grace didn't died, she suceed into use the Key to move to her hell dimension. But the residual energy simply was enough to preserce the essence of Buffy and Faith and make it a driving force at a brand new universe created "accidentally" by Willow, when she tried to close the gate. By the way, if you had to chose one of the roles, which one did you would enjoy to take?

Right now, more is merrier. with 3 players we can already set the game and talk about the details like: small town x metropolis How much of personal drama and soap opera is okay for you and the usual: Queen Bees or Outcasts, where do you fit at the school ecosystem
Obviously I would totally love to play a Slayer! Either of them. But I like badass characters so I'd probably prefer the rebel one. But I would be just as happy to play the watcher! I think that would be fun too. :) I guess it really depends on what others want, if others are really intent on playing Slayers I don't mind playing something else. As to those questions... Metropolis would be rad I think. I love RPing and back stories. So I would at like some soap opera. I guess how much depends on others. Im partial to a good outcast - But playing as Queen/King Bees would be cool too. :) Oh and I have recruited my brother! So if you have a spot for him, he is interested in playing a best friend!
Great! I have a great question about Australians. Are you that close from your brothers/sisters? I run another game for 2 other Australians and they are brother and sister. Both are great players and the vibe to play with them is great. I hope we have the same fun I have with them!
My brother is the worst. NO I AM KIDDING! :) We are very similar, generally make the same jokes and insult each other a great deal of the time. :) We are in another campaign together, and we kinda tend to muck around a bit at times. So be warned we do make inappropriate jokes :) Andrew (my brother) won't admit this, But we are totally BEST FRIENDS! :)
We aren't best friends. I resent that comment.
I am interested

I can bet my buddy would end up a Queen B character, but I'll talk to him tomorrow. I'd be angling more for someone who develops abilities or holds a dark secret to begin with. Any idea about what time you'd run the game and how frequently?
About the time, Well I am a freelancer and I just can't play during the weekends for several reasons. I think the matter is when it is better to you and your friend? One of our Australians said she had time avaiable to deal too, so it is a subject we can talk at the game room

Hello Eavatar. I love the concept of your game, but do you know when you would plan to play ? If you have a specific timeframe (especially if you're playing with people living in Australia ^^ )or days (I'm also unavailable on week-ends, and will probably run a game next tuesday or wednesday. It will be a one shot, it shouldn't interfere though.) Otherwise, I'm pretty happy being one of the cast (Those are actually the ones I really liked and made Buffy one of the rare shows I could watch until the end. It actually led me to watch Firefly and Dollhouse as well.). Anyway, just thought I'd let you know that I'm intersted ! P.S: And Thursdays and Fridays are a no-go also. I'm pretty much free on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If the game's not on those days, I won't be able to join. Just to tell you!

I'd be up for playing but it'd depend on the day of the week and time of day ( I prefer north american nights). I happen to have some of the books to the official game but I haven' had the time to really play. Doesn't seem too difficult though. As for social role, I'd either be up for a jock or some social fringe warlock
I might be interested depending on the day. If i can join I'd like to take the role of the Watcher.
Is this still going ahead?
yes it is. PM me for details
