So, I posted a LFG a few days ago but I feel like I should also post It here, Hoping to catch the eyes of more people. We are 3 right now, more would be awesome, Heres the game listing description and I hope more people will take interest. LFG here ( game days will change to fit all players inside the campaign but weekends are very unstable with my work ) Welcome to Entropy, a game of my creation and made from scratch, taking inspiration from many Sci-Fi horrors themed sources and being in a universe with a Mythos like cosmic horror element. The Cyrex is moving in the uncharted system called Ezo-11 to acquire an object of value to the Concord, Your group must join side with the military officials and use whatever means necessary to get the objective before the vile snake-like Cyrex take it to bring it to their warlord, the Queen of wrath, Cyanide, one of the meanest and toughest female Cyrex warlord in the galaxy. You will have the choice between all races of the Cosmic Exchange, from the greedy and selfish human up to the mysterious and void-touched Nyth, hired as specialists or mercenaries with a large pay, into one of the most important mission since the ''Shroud War'' and will be able to choose from a lot of possible builds made just for you, from the stoic merc up to the chosen eldritch avatar with a very heavy debt on his soul. The game is as weird as you make it so, this is a mature game with gore and very explicit description of wounds, monster, and anomalistic entities. There could also be E-RP if players want this being exploited. I am a very flexible GM and weird seduction characters is common in my other game, for the better or worse. (people keep making them, help) (Since my first game of my system was such a success, I decided to open another game for a second group to play in the same universe as the first and hope to maybe cross paths and make sweet interlocking campaign!) (The system is also still a WIP, I have a first version that is enough to play, but I am making a much more advanced and rebalanced real deal manual as we play and test the game) The dice system is the percentile one , (1d100) let's say you have 5 in dexterity you would have 50% into assault rifles, then you can add ''training'' skill points on top of that to raise it higher, to specialize. If you have, let's say 70% into assault rifles you would need to get 1-70 on the 1d100 dice, Range and ''difficulty rating'' modify the change you have to hit. There are tiers of difficulty like easy, normal, hard, hardcore, suicide, impossible. some add and other removes chance to succeed, for weapons it would be the range you shoot from or for technical skill would be if your tool/target/conditions are favorable. So technically you can stack up even above 100% to be sure to succeed in the higher difficulty rolls like forcing open a sealed door to go trough before a massively deformed beast from the void come to tear you in half! My system involves a cross between the percentile system from Fallout / Cthulhu and a focus on specific specializations from character to characters. Tactical topdown No-Grid maps that work with fluid movements and positioning. Combat is common in encounters because most of the entities can't be reasoned with but most of the time some creatures and atrocities can't be stopped with bullets and brawn but with cunning and the use of the occult. I also made a manual and draw every tokens and player token with the description from the players with Illustrator (studying in the use of those programs) . I would prefer to play only text so we could be fully immersed in all the sound effects and creepy atmosphere that the game offers, A theme very similar to the game ''VOID'' if you ever heard about it, but with many races with developed backgrounds and skills set. For example: We have the ''Zords'' an unyielding legion of tall red cloaked figures with unlimited faith towards their Emperor Zord who little is known but the fact that he is seen as a god from all the Zords. Or the Cyrex, a people of Snake/human hybrid (kinda like Yuanti from D&D or Vipers from X-COM) with a very aggressive space pirate-like society under the rule of tyrant warlords, Leading crazy suicide runs inside the galaxy inner parts to scavenge or die trying. Or the Humans of course, who is possibly the most hated and shunned race in the galaxy with only a very few friendly faces to rely on, Being led by the ''Concord'', a massive alliance of all humans that is rumored to be devious and sometimes ruthless. (humans could be seen as antagonists in certain stories) But the main focus of the game is to make a spooky and creepy universe where not even 10 % of the galaxy was explored and that hideous things lurk inside the inner parts of the galaxy, emerging from something the savants of our age call the Anomaly, a disruption of some sort, so dangerous and mysterious that its only existence could destroy every race that is not under its control. Racism between races is high however and could imply wars and skirmishes even with the threat of the Anomaly still looming around, even after the discovery of entities so unknown and powerful they could sway worlds with their will alone. Sanity is also a big part of the game since panic can destroy any group at any time, EVERYTHING is deadly, from the little pistol ( that are pretty big BTW ) up to the most advanced technological or unknown alien weaponry. There is also ''spells'' under the name of ''Lunacy'' for the crazy occult persons who delve into the madness of the unknown and ''Telekinesis'' that involve the power of the mind over matter, Spells are HIGH-risk HIGH reward, from sending yourself into a black hole full of abomination to simply have your head explode from an overload of energy! But the payoff... From crushing targets to sludge of body parts to the full mind control of Anomaly's monsters and alien powers. Some races also favor peace and cooperation like the Shlaug ( trader and scavenger race ) or even the fully evolved AI race the Vector, who seems dangerous but never really attacked anyone ( yet ). There are extremes and gray areas in the universe, it is to add tension between races and politics. So not only the dark areas of the galaxy are dangerous but your neighbors as well! Also, the whole idea is to explore the unknown of the rest of the galaxy. The monsters and dark ''gods'' does not provoke encounter that much since they think in the majority the sentient species to be puny and frail, But some races made pacts and deals with those entities and even try to replicate them with technology ( who backfire greatly ). The universe is like the universe of Cthulhu BUT the major discovered parts of the solar system habited by regular races are mostly safe. I also use Illustrator to draw myself all the monster tokens in top-down view, so no monster are alike and can move with articulations and pivot ( like a robot could turn on himself while rolling in one direction, or a blob could fit trough corridors and doors since they are made from multiple pieces that I can group and ungroup at will. I also forgot to mention there is also Talents, quirks / qualities in the game as well that make every character unique and special. the way you progress in the game. When you start a character you will place points and stats to fit your style but after that, you will only raise your skills and stats by the actions you makes. On a critical success you lvl up by 1% the skill you crited on, critical hits are 1-5 on the 1d100 and crit fails are 96-100. You can choose quality or quirk that influence those percentiles. Lucky let you get a crit on 1-7 and jinxed punish you with 93-100. Also, the fast learner Quality that let you raise for 2% instead of the regular 1% when you crit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ In a galaxy where the lesser species try to survive and prosper, they do not know how much everything could end someday because everything has to end and we all die over time in the world of... ENTROPY. Here a few Design Examples for the new manual... ---
