I know, the title itself is very strange but I've had this idea and tested this out before but that was only with friends (and they LOVED it!) Now I'm back from college and I want to see if anyone is down to try this and expand on this! However, let me explain: [You'd need a copy of Battlefront II to be able to play >.< It's cheap on steam] Battlefront??? Yep, just like the title says. What I tested and done in the past was incorporating the use of roll20 along with battlefront (Battlefront II in this case). The idea is the campaign itself is hosted here on roll20 which includes a map of the galaxy in which players can plan attacks, build fleets, and prepare their assaults. When an action on the campaign itself that would need a battle to take place, players would simply swap on over to multiplayer in SWBII where I as the host/GM would be able to tweak army sizes, conditions, bonuses, and so on, to represent what is also happening on the campaign map. For example, if an army of 400 clash with an army of 200, I'll be able to set the sizes before the game would start. As for the campaign itself, my friends and I would roleplay as generals for their respective sides. We also had a system with events such as uprisings or paid racketeering. I know this is very strange interest check here on Roll20 but I figured "hell, I'll throw it out there and see if anyone else would love to try this." - Other than that, campaigns would be hosted weekly or bi weekly until a victory condition is met. Very niche simply because it also requires a game but hey, worth throwing out there! Interested? Or you have more questions? Feel free to comment below! To Mods: If this isn't allowed on Roll20, that's fine. Feel free to lock this post if this conflicts with any rules.
