LFP 1-2 Slots Open - D&D 5E - Sunday @ 7pm CST (A few sessions in just reached lvl 3)

The current party consists of a Sorcerer, Barbarian, Rouge, and a Fighter. The story revolves around a city in my world wilderness, well away from typical civilized life. If your interested in learning more please shoot me a message.  I'm looking for just one other player for now but I might take 2 if I get them warm fuzzies while reading your idea for a character.

I am interested! Sunday is the only day I don't work past 6 (I'm CST too) so it would a convenient game day for me. I am 21 and am pretty new to dnd, but I have been interested in a while which is why I created this account so long ago. I am familiar with roll20 and 5e rules as I have played several sessions this past month. I think I would play a cleric! The character's name would be Domini Ralls but he goes by Dom. He was chosen by his deity to go on a holy quest to find an artifact important to the god and would just be starting that search at the time of the game. I wouldn't want it to be the most holy god as he started being devoted to his god after he was  asked to go on this quest and wasn't very religious before. He is calm good natured guy who I am willing to flesh out a lot more if need be.
So your ok with playing form 7-11 PM on Sunday night. We typically shut down the sessions at about 10:30 but chat a little after getting ready for the next session.

Yeah I would be able to make every session for sure, as I never work at that time on Sundays.  Edit: I see I left out the word work my bad
Ok, could you get me a brief little backstory for your character. I can help if you have any questions about where we are in the campaign etc. I would just like to get this worked up before I say 100%.
Domini Ralls was raised by a nice but poor couple who made money selling out of a small garden/farm. He was a good hearted boy whose was more interested in books than sword play. Growing up he had a stronge urge to leave the small town and live the life he read about in stories but he knew this was never likely. Throughout his childhood he had a good relationship with the local priest at the temple. (Not sure about which god, idk which pantheon you are using) The priest treated him very well and always was telling him about the gods and the god he worships in particular. He was a good friend of Dom and also provided a lot of the entertainment and knowledge. Unknown to Dom this priest had a very good relationship with (TBD temple's god) and the god had provided the priest with details of an evil god's weakness/something along those linse. So when the priest dies to an agent of (evil god) Dom(now 18) turned to the priest's god and prayed for many months. He became less selfish and more focused on doing good in hopes of connecting with the god and learning more about the death of his friend. Slowly he earned the affection of the god and started his training to become a cleric. Now 24 years old Dom has developed a solid relationship with his deity but he has yet to get much information from the god about the priests death. From here I could go the route that he is searching for answers on the priests death or the god can give him information about it and something from that sets him off to adventure. I am pretty new at creating backstories so I am down to make as many changes as you see fit.
Question: Are you strictly sticking with the PHB only or are the expansions (SCAG, UA, Volo's Guide to Monsters, etc) accepted.
Right now I am just sticking with PHB stuff.
Hello, I'd love to submit a backstory of my character, whom will be a troubled monk, to you. Is there a position still open?
We have filled up for now. Thanks to all who applied.

ok second question(s): are you allowing Human Variant and Multiclassing right off the back? + cause I have an idea for a character Name: Tristan Meadows Race: Human (Variant) Class: Ranger (Level 2) Warlock (level 1) Story: Born to a family of famous explorers, Tristan has spent his life trying to live up to the expectations trust upon him (not by his parents but by the community of the profession itself). Influenced by this "need" to be great, Tristan decides to explore a ruin previously abandoned by his parents for undisclosed reasons. During this excavation, in a deeper part of the ruin than his parents squarely avoided, Tristan falls into one of an ancient trap, a room full of old runes that glow an assortment of colors, that shines so bright and pulses with such violent, suffocating energy, that it kills him instantly... or not? As the blinding white subsides in the room. A new breath of air fills Tristan's lungs, and despite feeling like he was being absolutely obliterated by magic, his physical body... is fine. The kid feeling lucky to be alive and after not finding anything of note in the ruin itself, decides to leave. However as he begins to escape the ruin, he hears a voice in his head very loud and very clear. Stopping out of fear, he looks around frantically.  "You're looking in all the wrong places, kiddo. Try looking down." And out of instinct he does, and finally notices the difference, his shadow, isn't his anymore. It's someone... or something else's, a humanoid shape that's not his own. A shadow with a name, Cervantes. A ancient and great demon with one goal in mind. Cliche world domination. His problem, he isn't whole, and because of this his power is 1/100, a fraction of what it used to be. Another problem, people have forgotten him, there are no stories, there are no records, there's nothing. Millennia of sleep have destroyed his reputation of supposed terror. And he "commands" Tristan to help change that. Tristan obviously refuses because he realizes the demon holds no power over his actual decision making. In fact, after the facade of terror, the young archeologist considers him quite a joke and disrespects him every chance he gets. Tristan's Goal: To continue to gaining ancient knowledge despite being attached to a "Whiny, Cranky, Old Spirit" Cervantes Goal: To "secretly" try to gain his powers and his rank back, and of course World domination.
