Marketplace gift purchasing - confusion

If you purchase a gift for someone on the roll20 marketplace and they already have the product how does that work? Will it give you a message stating that the recipient of the gift already possesses that map pack? Or will it purchase that map pack regardless of whether or not the recipient already has it? I am asking because I want to give a gift as a surprise, but I definitely don't want to purchase something that is already owned.

Hi Bradford, I asked this question myself to the Dev team when this went live and Steve had this to say: if you try and buy a pack for someone who has it the purchase doesn't go through And Yes. It tells you why the purchase was canceled.
