LFG 3.5

Experienced player looking for a friendly, non-min/maxing game where if someone plays a specific race/class/trait/flaw, the ECL  or any other penalties will be enforced so as to make sure there's some sort of balance. Preference towards Wizards. Have multiple characters already rolled up, but am more than willing to re-roll.
Addendum: More than ten years of experience playing, but I'm not adept at a lot of things. The local groups I've played with have disallowed combos that maximize abilities, manipulate abilities, etc. Therein lies my anti-min/max. I specialize in using spells in ways that irritate the DM, or at least give them a chance to rethink their strategy.
>3.5e D&D >balance [laughingspellcasters.jpg.gif.exe.pdf.7z] But seriously, min/maxing as a concept isn't the problem, and really most combos aren't a problem either (and LA is a joke). It's specific spells that are stupidly written/implemented, and more importantly an inability to talk and interact like adults about a problem. Way easier to say "don't be a dick, be willing to rejigger your character if you end up leagues more powerful than everyone else" than to malign a basic tenet of character creation. That said, I'm interested in joining a 3.5 group as a player. I generally play spontaneous casters and specialize for oddball things. Been RPing for 18 years so I typically want to homebrew some things, but as I said above, keeping dialogue open about things like power level is paramount to a good experience so anything I make is considered perpetually in beta testing in my eyes.
Classy.
